Great, sturdy holder keeps sharp processor blades out of your way.
I'm very happy with my BDH-2 Blade and Disc holder. I hadn't even opened my Cuisinart DLC-10S Food Processor until I finally ordered this, because I knew there was no way I'd feel free to use the processor and leave it accessible without having to hide the blades or risk getting cut. Each of the blades and the disc stem fit neatly in this holder, which I find to be more than sturdy enough. No, the spatula doesn't fit in there, but that is the least of my worries, although I suppose fitting every item in would be nice. I have plenty of utensil canisters and drawers where I can lose, I mean store, the spatula. The holder locks and unlocks easily, with a sturdy turn knob that doesn't require a pull and turn as the old reviews --and the first to pop up-- mention. Is it childproof? No, and I don't feel it is sold as such. Quite certain it could be opened with a bit of effort by young kids, but then again, I feel this is to protect ME, not kids. It is a neat, safe place to store the blades. I'd recommend it to anyone having the Food Processors it works with.

Perfect for my purpose.
My 40+ year old Cuisinart processor finally needed to be replaced.I purchased a 14 cup DFP-14BKSY model. This disk holder works perfectly.Holds the chopping blade, the disc stem and both of the discs. There is room for an additional disc if I decide to add one. I know a lot of reviews mention the lack of a bottom. This is a non-issue for me, I have it in an cabinet, I can open it and remove the pieces I need without moving the holder. However if you do keep it on a counter and are concerned about the lack of a bottom - you really don't have to be. The chopping blade when inserted correctly is not exposed, it slides into a groove that keeps it from being a danger. The discs, again if you insert them correctly, particularly the slicing disc, the actual sharp blade not accessible from the open bottom. This is a vast improvement from the disc hold that came with my original unit. It held only the discs and wasn't covered. There was no way to safely store the chopping blade besides keeping the processor assembled or using a plastic container for it. This holds all the accessories perfectly.

Excellent for keeping up with the attachments
I purchased this attachment holder when I purchased the processor. This has been one of my favorite additions as it holds all the blades in one place and safely contained. A must have!

Safety first
I'm accident prone, so I figured that just storing my food processor attachments with those nasty sharp blades loose in a drawer or in a basket in the cabinet was just not enough to save me from slicing and dicing my own little fingers. Yes, this is plastic, but it is fairly heavy for its size, which implies sturdiness to me. It locks shut, so I'm thinking that if I knocked it over the blades wouldn't spill out, and the knob to lock it is on the small side so a child might have trouble with it. The fact that the arrows indicating which way to turn the knob to open or close the unit appear to be opposite the correct direction is mildly annoying. It is easily rinsed clean and will air dry in a short time. It has room for one more blade than my processor came with, which is nice since I would like to buy one or two more. It's not small, but it's not unattractive - if you're the type to leave your equipment on the counter this will blend in. Was it worth the $20 I paid for it? It depends on how clumsy or disorganized you are, and how long it will last.

Only wish it had more blades
Been awhile since I bought this, but better late than never. Good addition to the Cuisinart 14 Cup Food Processor I had bought previously. It works like a charm and keeps the two blades, blade adapter, dough hook blade and main blade protected and dust free while not in use.

A Must-Have Cuisinart Accessory
This is a great way to protect the blades and reduce the clutter. I really like it. My Cuisinart is the 11" model, the DLC-2011, and all of the blades and discs that come with it fit perfectly, including the stem which holds the discs in the fold processor. In total, it holds the standard blade, the dough blade, the stem, and three discs. It looks very elegant and clean with everything inside, and it's much better than throwing all of the parts in a drawer. It protects the blades well, so they'll stay sharper and cleaner longer. Big projects are easier because it's easy to find everything. There's room left for one more disc blade (maybe I'll get a French Fry cutter?). I highly recommend this accessory. The only downside I can think of is that this has to sit on a shelf or counter top -- you can't stack it or let it tip over, or some of the items might fly about. But the positive is that it does look beautiful on a countertop with those gleaming blades inside.I can't understand the negative comments I've read here. The parts fit inside perfectly. It's easy to open and close the lid. It's just lightweight plastic, but once the blades are inside, it has plenty of "heft" which will keep it from tipping over or moving.
