I have a feeling this glass might be brittle but for a hobbyist like myself it's a bang for buck. I'm careful when handling. So far it has worked great in 7 extractions so far. Hobby grade, I highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I used it for extracting fire from ghost peppers. It does look like it has a partial hair line crack, but Im sure this glassware has been on quite the journey to get to my doorstep. So far no complaints.

Despite being sent in pieces initially, this is a good soxhlet for the money. the walls are thick though the siphon could be sturdier.Replacement is on the way, will update if product ends up being worth anything.Otherwise, don’t waste your time buying this, while the glass on the soxhlet feels thick and sturdy- it was delivered in pieces, with a flask missing as well!

I have spent double on what ended up being much cheaper glass. This came with prime and I didn't have to wait for it to get here from China. You'll likely be looking at ebay for lab glass also, I did all of that, this is the winning piece. By far. The last sohxlet I ordered, from China, had smaller piping, it seemed frail and just barely put together. BUT THIS! The glass is solid and thick, straight lines in the glass, It's almost perfect. I mean it basically is. It does seem like maybe 10% smaller than normal, it doesn't say 500ml on it, but to me that's ok, it's FAR more sturdy and ridged than any other one I bought. I'm sure you can find something like this by paying $500+ from an American manufacturer that does solid trusted work. So if it's 400ml instead of 500 so what. It doesn't matter anyway when you're cycling solvent anyway. Hands down this is the best value item I've ever bought with regards to chem gear.

I extracted capsaicin from my peppers very easily with this rig. No complaints

My package was damaged in shipping and syphon tube snapped so the extractor is useless which is a shame because it's surprisingly thick glass. The condensor and the flasks weren't damaged and are of the same quality so I will make use of them
