Great valve for the price.
I work with all sorts of valves with pressures ranging from 100psi to 30,000psi, so I feel that I know a good valve from a bad valve. This valve isn't the best, but for my purposes (draining hydraulic tank on log splitter I built) it is fine. The castings seem good, but are a little porous near the connections. The packing seems tight and it doesn't leak. It does everything it should do and that's all I expect for the price. It's a good valve, but I wouldn't push it past it's specifications.

I use this as the outlet valve from my UV filter before it goes to house water supply pipe. It is working well, no leaks. I have used several times to practice diverting water from my main filter system to the bypass system. Great product.

The Pressure Vacuum Assembly (Backflow Preventer) that I have (Febco 765-1”) has two ball valves (Refer to picture).Note: This assembly was purchased from Amazon and was spray painted so the color will be different than the original product.The Mueller 107-825NL ball valve can be substituted for any of the two ball valves on the Back Flow Preventer. Since the handle of the Mueller ball valve is longer you will have to align it to clear the assembly housing or remove the handle of the old ball valve and attach it to the Mueller.

Leaks
Used one of these to fix a cracked backflow preventer valve and it worked. Bought three more to create a bypass for a water softener and could not get any of them to stop leaking no matter how much thread seal tape I used. I took them apart, re-taped, and re-assembled twice and each time I got tiny leaks coming out from the threaded ends. Decided to just swap them with some slip on plastic ball valves. These valves are much easier to operate than the plastic ball valves, unfortunately I lost patience. Perhaps I just received a bad batch with defective threads but it does throw a flag that these are cheaper than what you typically see at the hardware stores. Sometimes by as much as half.
