Tasty. My wife uses it for cooking "party chicken" in a crackpot with a white cream sauce. Adds a nice meaty flavor to it.

Cured, dried beef has been around since the Crusades. My father was a US Air Corps cook in the European theater WWII. He served this weekly. I grew up with it - not on toast, but on mashed potatoes. My grandkiddos just introduced me to a tastey dip with crackers: Chipped beef, chives and cream cheese. There are all kinds of recipes out there. As with all dried or smoked meats, they are salty. We chopped then soaked out in water for a few minutes to leach some of the salt. This is the brand we have always chosen.

I was so glad to find this on Amazon . The “kids” love a certain pickle appetizer every Christmas and they would have been very bummed if I didn’t deliver. Price was higher but worth it this time

I keep these in for when I wish to make cream dried beef. He rinse them and go forward with your recipe and they're always good and they last forever in the cupboard so you never run out of food. It's cheap and nutritious.!

Not true chipped beef. This product is not what was originally seen in a photo or description. I have been looking for the original form of thinly sliced beef when it isn’t ground and formed before slicing.Taste is unremarkable and unfamiliar.
