Beautifully written and absolutely heartbreaking
Beautifully written and absolutely heartbreaking, had me sobbing by page 15 and then regularly throughout. Definitely one of the top five books (out of well over 100) that I read last year (2017). 'An Unnecessary Woman', also by this author is also probably in that top five. For me Rabih Alameddine is on the fairly short list of authors whose new novels I will be watching for and would consider pre-ordering, as they are always well written, enjoyable, emotionally engaging and also informative.

Magnificent
An acute , deep and moving elegy about ethnic displacement , poetry , pain and friendship. Written , as always, by Mr Alameddine , with his terse prose, it's a compassionated insights into the tragedies and fleeting joys of human souls.

Quality matters
I'm very happy with my u.k. version of The Angle of History. Comparing it to my friend's USA version, it turned out to be of a better hardcover quality. Thanks.
