Flair-It16816 Plastic Swivel Elbow, 0.5" Size

One great characteristic of this item is that it fits both the newer plastic water lines and the older ones that were used in the 1990s! This is easy to work with and does the job!

Struggled finding something to work on my ‘93 Carver when replacing the shower valve. Original lines are grey 1/2” polybutylene and standard SharkBite nor 15mm Whale connectors would work. Found out about these and gave them a shot. Worked 100% no leaks and I can use a union to covert from poly to pex in sections. Great product will order more to have on hand for blow outs.

Fits perfectly

I got the Flair 1/2 inch swivel elbow, but it came without the threaded nut. Luckily I was able to take a nut off of a spare straight fitting I had to make my emergency repair. I was able to get a replacement from Amazon. Again, Amazon proved great to work with.

As a previous reviewer stated, a fitting was missing one of the compression hold downs. Fortunately, I could salvage one of the old ones in its place. This accounts for the two star downgrade. The part was relatively expensive, but I guess you pay for the convenience of the availability and quick delivery turnaround, I guess I can't take away a star for my decision to buy knowing that its a higher priced option. Otherwise, the part fit and was installed in seconds to reconnect my hot water tank supply line on the boat!

Flair it fittings should be in every RV owners “spare parts” box! They are typically factory original style fittings, they are easy to install, require minimal tools and can save a camping trip from becoming a disaster! I keep an assortment on hand for those unexpected issues!

use on old grey polybutal or new pex. also works on semi clear plastic or vinyl tube. recommended!

I had a leak on the cold water inlet on my rv's hot water heater. This part fixed the problem. Installation was super easy, had the job done in under 3 minutes. Great product!

Easy to use and a perfect fix

Perfect for it’s intended use. Only complaint is the price per fitting, otherwise it would have received 5 stars. This particular fitting connects a 1/2” pex pipe on one end and provides a 1/2” threaded connection to a bathroom or kitchen faucet on the other end. You can find 90 degree and straight fitings to meet your needs.
