VIOFO A129 Dual 2-Channel Full HD 1080P 30FPS | 2CH Car Dash Cam with GPS Logger

I’ve had the Viofo a129 installed for about a week now. It has all the features and imager of the higher end cameras at half the price. The front and rear cameras both record excellent video in the daytime and night. I was particularly impressed with the low light capabilities of the cameras at night.I wanted a camera that continued to record video with “Motion Detection” when the vehicle is parked. With firmware update 1.5, the camera has an option for “Event Detection” that includes Motion Detection while the vehicle is parked. For the Parking features to operate properly, you need to install it with the 3 wire hardwire kit. I did run into a problem getting the Parking “Event Detection” Motion Detection feature to work properly. After a couple of days, I finally figured out if you turn the WiFi off on the camera, the motion detection would work correctly. Even with the buggy phone app, I would highly recommend it. Hopefully, Viofo will rework the app and WiFi issues in their next update.

Hello there! Would you like a product your buy like this VIOFO dash cam to work out of the box? It's hard to understand whether the camera shuts itself off b/c something is wrong with it or it's supposed to work like that. i'd prefer a camera that keeps the screen on at all times so there's no question whether it's on or off. The seller is great but the camera has some figuring out to do. Quality of recording is good. I will keep the unit I have but wouldn't buy this brand again. The seller is great. Not worth buying any of the 4K car cameras yet since it’s not like 4K surveillance cameras for the house or any 3mp cameras. Save your money and buy these Viofo A129 Duo camera kit for your car. App is easy to understand if you have dealt with cameras in the past but for someone that hasn’t it might be 4 hours to fully get it set right. Great cameras for your money.

Love this dual camera set up so far. Video quality is very good, even at night through the dark tint on my rear window. Installed the 3 wire hardwire kit to enable parking mode, which works well. Camera has a ton of features and settings for the price point. Only complaint is the time it takes to download clips to my phone with the app. Taking the card out and using a computer would be faster. Highly recommend the VIOFO A129 duo to anyone considering a dashcam around the $200 range.

Easy, quick installation in wife's 2018 124 Fiat convertible. Phone app is through and reliable, live mode is great. Need CPL for serious NAV screen ghost in windshield. Need hardwired parking cable for parking mode use. Both accessories are not yet available from VIOFO. Unusual install in convertible need a right angle USB, but cable is proprietary and may not ever be available. Gave 4 stars, will update to 5 if accessories prove as reliable as base unit. Will buy 4 more dash cams when accessories are available.

Really qood dash camera . Best value ever for the price . Very high quality even on lowbit video files . On my opinion it's just perfect . Hot recommend !

If you want 2 channels, 1080 resolution, great daytime and decent nighttime picture quality, this is the dashcam for you. I upgraded from a Viofo A119S (purchased from BlackBoxMyCar) and I'm really enjoying having rear video, as well.If you want parking mode, this might not be the camera for you, and you'll probably be paying at least double this price for a good parking-mode camera and parking battery. That said, no matter what kind of dashcam you're getting, you should get it from BlackBoxMyCar, as they are the leading North American distributor of all things dashcam. Their support is top notch, and their products are just as great.

by no means are my stats reasonable since I had the camera stolen from my car I really wanted the camera had tons of features that i wanted
