The media could not be loaded.  I like the canister it perfectly match to the Geryon vacuum sealer that I have. It is durable and easy to use. The seal is really good.

I've always try to make fruits available to my family as a healthy snack and as many of you know, often times they go bad in a short amount of time. Vacuum sealing it would be a great way to extend the time that you have to consume your food but it's not always convenient. This vacuum sealer container provides the convenience I've been looking for. Just plug the tube from the sealing machine to the container and press a button. In a matter of seconds it's air tight. I might want to try this with my coffee beans as well. I've been using vacuum bags which works great.The container itself is high quality plastic. I'd prefer glass if that was an option. I had trouble getting a good seal at first but the great customer service behind this product resolved all my issues. I wasn't pushing the connectors in tight enough. I think a better twist lock mechanism would be better and provide an indication that you are locked on. Nevertheless, this product works as advertised. If you want to keep something fresh for a longer period of time, then this will do it. I will be less shy in cutting up more cucumbers, golden kiwi, and avacado next time around knowing I have a way to vacuum seal it. I can see how this will pay for itself over time. This item is NOT microwave safe you must use their vacuum sealing machine.I took off a star because this item isn't perfect but it's a solid product backed by great customer service.

I ordered 3 of them same size but they all came with different size hoses which none worked with my geryon vacuum sealer. Luckily the one that came with the sealer worked with the containers.

This is my new favorite vacuum canister. One reviewer said it didn't work, but I learned I needed to push into the canister against its spring as if releasing air. Then it would vacuum. The FoodSaver attachment is just a bit too large for this canister's port, but I found that I could use the included hose and simply attach the bare tubing of the end opposite the canister to the FoodSaver's attachment. Perfect!

After several uses, the "button" failed to release the pressure completely. As a result, I have to pry off the lids between tabs with a screwdriver. Very disappointed!

Have only used it a few times so far, but it seems to do a really good job of maintaining a seal for periods of time from overnite to a day or so. So as far as it's advertised use it's a great container. However, for use as a general storage container, not so much. The interface between the lid and the container is almost flat thereby not providing any way for the lid to actually stay on the container (other than under vacuum). I have other vacuum storage containers that actually do double-duty quite well, so I was a little disappointed that this one doesn't. So like I said before, for it's advertised use it's a great container - well made, handy size, and seals well.
