Awesome
An excellent piece of work. Excellent quality, extremely sharp, designed to cut on the pull back stroke making cutting less strenuous and tiring. I can cut all day with it and hardly tire. 6”- 8” logs.. “no problem”. Perfect for our camping trips. Comes with an awesome sheath that won’t drop out when holding it upside down buy the sheath. If you in to cutting wood for fires/whatever, this is the answer.

Amazingly good piece of kit.
I am not a frequent reviewer but felt I had to write about this hand saw. Yes, it seems expensive but when I saw the reviews and knew what I needed it for - I took the plunge and have not been at all disappointed. It has the materials and design to make all garden sawing easy and quick - and although it also has the potential to remove human digits and limbs, if used properly it will speed up all those garden lopping/pruning jobs. The blade is designed to only cut when moving one way - pulled towards you - but that is all it needs and it prevents any bending or sticking of it as you try to push. The holster is a real must-use, to prevent unintentional self mutilation, but again is brilliantly designed to keep the saw close and accessible, but safe.I have been using it to this trim down some sizeable damp willow saplings - like the proverbial knife through butter. After use a quick wipe over with oil/WD40Wear some proper clothing and gloves, and using this tool will speed up and ease your lopping jobs.

To die for
Simply amasing! The overall length is perfect for all general pruning tasks and sufficient to cut through 200mm branches with ease. This is high-end professional-grade equipment, just not cheap. You get what you pay for.The locking sheath is exceptionally robust and functional, easily hung on a belt with optional leg strap slots. The handling and whole feel of this saw is wonderful, and should last a lifetime for most gardeners. More extensive use might need a new blade now and again and these are available.Just please be respectful and careful when using. This Silky Zubat Pro is sharp and potentially dangerous.

Silky zubat saw
Silky by name, silky in use...... this is a really excellent handsaw for tree and large bush work. Cuts on the pull stroke and just glides through green and dead wood alike. Flexible curved 330 mm blade with a rounded end to stop catching that comes with a slip-on clear plastic cover for the teeth for extra security. Robust scabbard/sheath that can hang from a belt or alternatively strap to your leg, and the saw is held securely by plastic rollers at the mouth of the sheath. The belt loop clips on and off, and also has a hole punched in it, so you can hang it from a toolrack or wall. The handle is nicely rounded and very comfortable in use, and unscrews in order to replace the blade should you ever blunt or break it.This is a quality tool that makes landscaping work so easy - it went through a 3" branch in around 30 seconds - thoroughly recommended.

what a saw
I had seen several posts on reddit recommending this saw but was cynical it would be as good as the reviews.I’m sorry Silky Zubat, I wasn’t familiar with your game.took me about 15 minutes to cut through several large tree limbs up to about 7/8” thick, it was more or less effortless and each back stroke cuts through an unreal amount. It’s easy to grip and feels very well built despite looking quite small initially.

Probably the best £65 I've ever spent

Beware - you don't get what is advertised.
Beware - you don't get what is advertised. The blade is NOT 'professional' at all. It is a thinner non-professional blade. The goods as received are certainly not worth the price paid (£68.99). I feel cheated.

Cuts fast at on green wood for pruning. Not sure why I didn't get one sooner.
I got this a few weeks ago and it's awesome. Not cheap, but worth it. In the last week I had to do a lot of pruning of max 4", mostly 2 inch and smaller limbs reaching overhead and this cut them fast at awkward angles. Not sure how long the blade will last, but it performs well enough at the awkward angles one often ends up using when on a ladder I don't really care. I've seen no loss of performance, but when I can quickly cut a 3" branch on a ladder standing on one leg, I'll happily get a replacement blade as often as needed. If you do get one, remember it cuts on the pull, and it's worth trying to keep your alignment as straight as possible when making the cut. Slow cuts using the full length of the blade seem to work best, if you go too fast or push too hard you can bind it in the cut. As with any hand saw, if you keep the blade steady in the cut at the same angle and not wobbling while letting the saw do the work you will have no problems. The saw is sharp, I have not gotten cut yet, but I'm sure I will, be careful. The sheath is nice and the saw sort of snaps in, but it can fall out if carried at strange angles.

Best cutting handsaw I’ve ever used.
As an arborist, I’ve used a lot of different pruning saws. This thing here is by far the best I’ve ever used. Cuts like butter and hasn’t dulled out yet after a ton of use. My chainsaw broke during a removal of a 50’ spruce and I literally took the entire tree down with this saw to keep on schedule.

Reliable companion
I've been using a Silky Zubat for about 4 years now and have found it to be the most versatile tool to have in the woods. It's great for all tasks up to and including falling an 8" diameter hazel (I don't recommend trying that, but it'll do it... eventually...). Always sharp - be careful if cutting something while holding onto it.I had a coworker use one for a long time in wilderness therapy when others carried a heavy hatchet, and I did that very thing when leading wilderness epeditions for youth later on. Very useful as daily kit in any kind of wilderness setting, for trail work, or around the woodsy property or garden allotment.
