Very Substantial Strike Plate
This strike plate provides extra piece of mind for door security. To do a professional job, it helps to mortise out the strike plate expanded area, the corners are square so a simple 1" chisel will do the trick. The finish matches most brushed stainless steel door hardware. The screws are designed specifically for the strike plate, they have a shallow head and fit nicely in the holes. My only complaint is the screws are a bit short, I had a several inches of framing to screw into and it would have been nice to a few choices of screw length in the kit. Looks great and strengthens the door locking assembly nicely.

Product shipped is not what's pictured (right model number, wrong picture)
This is a well made, heavy duty, commercial size strike plate. Good choice for most metal doors. But (and it's a big but), the picture is of a different model of strike plate. The strike plate I received was a Tell Manufacturing CL100218 ASA 32D Strike, which is the model number listed in the product description, but not what's shown in the product picture. The CL100218 has a D-shaped opening and does not have the small protrusion into the opening. I ordered based on the picture because I specifically needed a rectangular opening and the protrusion to make my door close tightly enough for a new smart lock installation. I contacted Tell Manufacturing and learned that the picture on this product page is actually of a different model, CL101076, which has a rectangular bolt hole with return lip. As I said, this is a very well made strike plate, but what's pictured is not what's shipped, which for me meant I received a strike plate that won't fit. I'm uploading a picture of what I received so you can see if the mismatch matters to you. By the way, the manufacturer told me that you can special order CL101076 (which they say is what's pictured on this page) through Ace, Lowes, or True Value.

Very good fix.
Works great, I needed a bigger latch because had to move the slot for the door to close correct. Door had a slightly movement. If not correct you can slide a credit card.

These would be great for any application
Just what I wanted, heavy thick metal with a latch slot that allows for the frost heave I get on some of my outbuildings in Winter. These would be great for any application.

PERFECT. my door frame was getting old and the deadbolt hole was too loose. This oversized replacement strike plate fixed the problem!

It's good looking, fits well
this is the second one I've bought. It's good looking, fits well, and is definitely stronger than most hardware store door strikes.

Wrong item sent
This is not the correct product as described and pictured, sending a curved one instead of the rectangular cut out. Because if this does not fit what I need for my deadbolt. Attempting to get the correct one sent through Amazon hopefully the seller actually sends the correct one this time..

Picture is wrong but product worked for me
The part I received has the D-shaped opening which worked for my door, but it is different from what is pictured in the product description. This can cause problems for another shopper. It looks like it’s been called out plenty of times by other buyers so not sure why Amazon can’t fix such a simple discrepancy.
