DO NOT BUY
The media could not be loaded. I never felt like I've been so ripped off before.. I was so excited about having a solar pond. This thing ONLY work if the sun is shining DIRECTLY on the solar panel.. the solar panel does not appear to hold a charge..( I live in Michigan) if it's an overcast, if somebody stand in front of it, and at night time... IT DOES NOT WORK... I feel like I've been robbed.. I was so excited about having it that I canceled my plans to wait for the delivery truck so that I could install it immediately.. As far as the setup, They have a small cap on the water feature for if you decide to use the tube and not the water feature option.. I wanted to use the water feature portion.. BUT while connecting the water feature the cap piece fell off in the pond. . I was able to go to lowes and get a cap replacement piece.. I also had to weigh the pump down with bricks and place the solar panel DIRECTLY in the sun. As long as there is direct sunlight It seem fine for a few hours but soon as the sun disappear, shade, over cast, or anything it will immediately stop working.. the panels do NOT hold a charge.. The company even sent me the battery for it.. It still only work in the daytime... The cap piece fell out so it shoots water through its side.. It's definitely a conversation starter piece because everyone laughs at how it malfunctions..

Disappointed
I am very disappointed in this product. It does not hold any backup power or work at all if it is cloudy .

Decent Start, but not quite complete
The pump works, the solar panel works 2 weeks in. The 20 bio-balls are not nearly enough to fill the box which results in the foam filters sagging and not being quite as effective.Things I've had to add.Ceramic bio-balls to fill in the excess space to prevent sagging but to also give the unit some weight. It will want to float at first until all the air is out of the sponge filters, even then the ducks knock it over by accident. There are multi layer filters that are cut to size that I think do a better job that have charcoal layers. Without more bio-balls this option was purchased to fill in the space to prevent the sagging mentioned above.Backup battery - There are batteries that Poposoap sells that will keep the pump going when clouds roll in or the tree or house puts the panel in shadow. Otherwise a single playing card covering the panel will cut the pump out. They say the 26oo mAh battery for the 25W pump however the 25w is for the solar panel. I've ordered the larger (52oo mAh) one and will report back once it arrives should just take longer to charge but will run the pump longer after the sun goes down. *mAh is the battery storage capacity and both batteries have the same voltage so should work.*If you want an always on pump get the 110v plug in version not solar.Daisy chaining these batteries will put them in series increasing the voltage (overloading the pump?) but not the run time (capacity).**UPDATE***Pump and panel still work larger battery arrived. The larger battery has a thicker wire and thus the connectors dont plug directly to the 25W cables... I opted for some pigtail adapters one for each lead on the battery and it works just fine and lasts alot longer. The battery adapters are not threaded like the rest of the connectors and will need to be water proofed, (electrical tape, heat shrink etc...)The other option would to just cut off the connectors and splice the wires together and then waterproof the wire.Otherwise everything is still working fine as of 01FEB25

Pond pump
This solar-powered pump is perfect for keeping my pond clean and beautiful! The 25W filter provides great water flow, and the adjustable pump allows for customization. It comes with all the necessary tubing, making installation quick and easy. My pond now has a beautiful fountain feature. I don't have to worry about electrical cords running out to the pond since it's solar powered. It’s a magical addition to any garden or outdoor space.

It works!
The media could not be loaded. Was gonna piece together my own version by buying everything separate from different stores but found this to be cheaper through Amazon. Set it up on a cloudy day and it worked! On a sunny day this thing shoots about 6 feet in the air non stop. I'd give it 5 stars BUT I have 2 issues with it. The first, is the media is just cheap sponges. You can just fill it with carbon packs from Amazon or whatever for actual filtration. The 2nd issue I have is that the filter floats. Atleast mine does, even full of water. I placed a large rock ontop and this fixed it for me. Overall pretty happy with this product. Highly recommend.

Better have sun light and no clouds ever
Personally I don’t think it was worth the money. It’s in the trash. It runs STRICTLY off of solar. Little cloud shows up… it’s done. Cloud moves away… hey it’s there! It sounds like a good idea but it should have a way to store the energy. It doesn’t sink. I have to anchor it to bricks to get it to stay under.I would keep looking. If your going to spend the money then I would look for one that holds the energy.

great value
I use this in a small pond to help aerate the water. Seams to be working great.
