Works out of the box on Linux, but often when booting up or finishing a capture session it will stop working for a while. The solution varies, from disassociating and reassociating the xHCI driver, to hotplugging the device or rebooting. Play around in /sys/bus/pci if you want to try these workarounds at home. As far as I know this issue does not occur during recording, which is a relief.Notably, it's just the USB host controller that stops working. The actual PCI device, including its LEDs and HDMI passthrough, still work fine.Recording in 1080p 60FPS works fine, and it works, among other things, for:1. Streaming gaming footage over Discord (on Linux; software support on Windows may not be the same)2. Recording gaming footage3. Mixing game sound/music in with OS sound/music (e.g. listening to ingame sounds while in a voice call or with a youtube video playing in the background)The timestamp reported by the audio stream can skip backwards every once in a while, which may cause problems with recording, but it's easy enough to work around and doesn't seem to affect live streaming.It is compatible with anything that supports Video4Linux2, which includes vlc, ffmpeg, mpv, and most software that supports webcams.All in all I'd say it was worth it especially for the price, but I just wish it were a little more reliable.

The media could not be loaded.  The software that came with this card needed updating, only problem is after updating the software i found the capture card wasn't showing up after reboot! nothing in device manager. it was just gone, lucky i have more than one pcie port free so i moved it from the bottom slot to the one above it, after moving the capture card and booting windows, the software saw the capture card again and everything seems to be working great, im able to use both in and out ports just fine, there is a reviewer out on youtube saying the hdmi port doesn't work on video out, this isnt ture, it works just fine for me,you can trust this card does 1080p 60fps, I havent tried 4k 30fps, but i didn't buy this card for 4k, most capture card can't do 1080p 60fps, this one can, if your looking for 60 then buy this, don't be fooled by the usb 3.0 cards that are floating about,* please note, the video attached to this review has been compressed by amazon, it looks much better from the source file, view the video added to this review, to see proof of 60fps at 1080p, i know the feeling seeing is believing after searching all this time, don't be fooled by the usb 3.0 ones, they look dirt,you can just about see the ufo at 60 is faster than the 30fps one, again the video has been compressed

I returned this the same day I received it.Installation into my PC was as easy as it should be, the HDMI pass through from my 1050Ti to my monitor worked for about a second then stopped.Ok, I thought just need to wait for windows to detect the device, after a couple of minutes of staring at a blank screen I plugged my monitor back into my GFX card. Once I had something I could work with I found that Windows had no idea the device was installed. Nothing in device manage. Tried adding it as a legacy device, Windows loaded the driver but couldn't start the device, Restarted and the device was marked as working BUT no HDMI pass through, device not detected by OBS/SLOBS. Basically instantly failed.Cheap card that promises you the moon but delivers absolutely nothing. Going to get an ElGato, nothing else compares really...

I was skeptical about buying this at first because of what it promised and the fact it was from a company I’ve never heard of...BUT I am very impressed! Zero input lag and the 4K pass through DOES NOT WORK

Good for price, bitrate kind of low

Pretty straight forward setup if you have Windows 10.Plug and play, works straight out of the box.Great quality video, would recommend to anyone looking to record or stream with this device.
