This is the last case you will ever need to buy
I have a collection of things, and as we were moving I decided to spend on protective cases to transport it.....and so I went looking for " forever" storage. The pick foam was exactly what I needed, the depth is good and the product as advertised worked well.the only thing I wish is that it had BOTH layers of foam as pick foam....I have some tall pieces and as such I had to cut the bottom layer as it was solid. I am so glad I found these

Operation
Works as it should for starring a transporting equipment. But I don’t like the latches as it’s hard to open because they don’t hold up other than that great quality.

The latches suck.
Unless you have very strong hands you will need a tool to open the latches. I am a 6 foot tall strong man and the latches require two hand to open. they catch when closing and opening. Spend more on a better quality box.

Heavy and very difficult to open/close
Sturdy enough, but that's where "good" stops. This thing on its own weighs almost the airline weight limit, so unless you're carrying light content, be prepared to pay for excess weight. But the worst part is the latches! Two on each side plus three in the front. Seem to do the job well until you need to open or close the case. If you have four or more hands, then it's not a problem, otherwise you open them and they still hook up to the bottom, so it takes effort to get them all at once. Then to close they get in the way and prevent the lid from closing, so you have to pull each one open again (and it takes just as many hands as when opening). It's like whack-a-mole - you open one, the other one closes. Very frustrating; horrible design. I don't think they did user testing on this product before putting it out to market.

Very hard to unlatch and open
Nice case but the latch system is not designed well…too many latches and very hard to open them…I considered returning it but I think I’ll just keep it and try to shave the latch Edges down a bit
