I have trigger finger and I didn’t like the sweaty braces. This one is perfect and I’ve been wearing it for about two months. It would be nice if it had two Velcro straps or Velcro replacements.

I purchased this for my wife's trigger thumb.The device is designed correctly and looks good. By this I mean when you place it on an average sized finger, important parts line up correctly and there is enough length for adjustment. In fact, this device seems a little large on her hand - she wears a size 6 ring - so it's better for larger hands. With smaller hands you need to pull it tight on your finger.It has metal stiffening inserts which are positioned on opposite sides to keep your finger straight. These work well. However, the entire device can rotate on your finger putting the inserts in the wrong position. This may be worse with the thumb as compared to other fingers.The fabric is strong, and the stitching is well finished. It's nice that the hooks for the Velcro system are positioned downwards when the device is tightened so that they don't get caught on your clothes.Note: if you wash dishes with it on it stays wet a long time.We're pretty happy with the device. It does need to be pulled very tight to stay in place. And even when tightened it can come off on the sheets at night. However, after trying a number of similar looking devices, none are perfect. So, it good to try a few and keep using the one that works best for you.This one is sized for average to large hands. It is designed correctly in terms of form and function and built with high quality materials. For us when used on the thumb, its ok. This device maybe better suited to index or other fingers that have a different role than the thumb. I'm not sure if we would buy this one again.

I returned these because they're designed for somebody with a larger hand. I think it was a great idea though.

I developed the classic tendonitis/trigger thumb from overuse. Wore the wrist brace for a while, but slowly mobility increased and the thumb splint has been great. The aluminum splint is easy to remove so the splint can be washed. It's important to purchase the right size so it doesn't fall off. Measure. I'd love to find these in a flesh tone but they don't seem to be available.

I fell on the ice and broke two fingers, so I was looking for a product to help keep my fingers straight and aid in the healing process. Overall, the splint is durable and well-made, and the metal inserts kept my fingers straight and positioned correctly, at first. However, the downside I experienced is the splint with the metal inserts adjusted throughout the day (and night) and ended up in the wrong position. This also made it uncomfortable to wear. I have smaller hands and tried to pull the Velcro quite tight to keep it in place, but making it too tight also caused too much pressure on my fingers. The splint fit my ring finger better than my pinky finger, but I can see this product working much better for someone with larger hands.

I would not use these for a long period of time, they don't adjust too much so you won't get a great fit. Maybe something to use if you were headed to the ER or something.
