I used this on a trip to Costa Rica. It was rainy season and it kept everything dry. It fit a lot more than I expected. The pockets are well thought out, made everything easily accessible. The material was good quality. It packed up to a decent size and fit well in my suit case (I had a different carry on, I bought this specifically for trips when I would rain). I would highly recommend.

As the headline states, I have not used the backpack to carry anything out of the house yet. I purchased this backpack to prepare for a future outdoor adventure. First, I like the color and the various pockets it has. There is a headphone rubber grommet area on the backpack which you can see it in the product description, but this is just the grommet attached to the material. The actual backpack material has not been cut or punctured to have anything pass through yet so I suppose it is optional to open it up. I do not plan to use a headphone, but if I was, I don't think I would even use this location to pass the wire through because it goes into the main large section of the backpack and I don't think I or most people would put the phone or whatever you are connecting the headphones to in that large section of the back pack. The grommet's opening is large enough to fit my Camelbak tube through so I might consider using it for that purpose, but most likely will just stick it out of the zipper area since cutting the material under the grommet would make the backpack susceptible to water leaks if it was being used while raining (it's supposed to be a water resistant backpack). The shoulder strap does have a clip attached that seems to be for the drinking tube so that is very nice to have. The top spacing of the shoulder straps initially seemed to be too narrow and I thought it would bother my neck being so close together, but I added some weight into the backpack and tried it on and the straps actually don't end up rubbing my neck as long as there is something in the backpack. The prominent "shenhu" & "capacity 40" logos embroidered into the backpack are probably what I do not like about the way this backpack looks. I'm certain that I will at minimum color the white embroidery in with a black permanent pen or find an iron on patch that I prefer and cover it up. Otherwise, this seems to be very well made and after I use it, if the durability doesn't seem to be as good as I expect it to be, I will return to update this review.

This bag holds a ton, first off. There are several compression features that can pack it down smaller. It’s super lightweight. I packed all of my gear for two days of camping in it, then unpacked it and took it on a day hike. It worked great for both! I’ll be looking to see if they make a larger one for longer trips! There are also a ton of loops and places to strap things to the outside of the bag. I attached several carabiners with a few different things and found it to be very stable. Great deal for the price especially.

I initially purchased this for bike-packing. Wasn't really optimistic that it would suit my needs. I used it all last year with very heavy loads 30-40lbs. This backpack is fantastic. Zippers are high quality. Waterproof outside and a Waterproof pocket inside. I was so pleased with the product, I purchased another for daily use. Definitely worth every penny!

I am presently trying to work out the incredible fold that the pack came with. It came in a box with plenty of room yet it was folded from top to bottom instead of side to side. Basically, if I fill it, the pack will bend over backward cause of the fold there is material in most backpacks to shape the back portion to the back. Now because of shipping and packaging, the pack doesn't have that stability. This is not the only pack I've ordered from Amazon that is packaged this way it is a common problem. It is my hope that the seller sees this review and enough people dislike receiving their packs with that same bend. The pack is great I just don't like the bend it makes the bag fall when I set it down.

A bit surprised about the size of this backpack. yep, i know it stated the size, but in my minds eye, I thought it was smaller. Very well made! Good sturdy fabric, tons of pockets and a really nice padded back!! Needed a backpack for the summer to carry water bottles, umbrellas, rain coats, and other necessities. This one is beyond that! It will carry all you need! It does has some weight on it by itself. Will use in my travel next month yo a very hot southern state.

It is bright orange!! It stands out. I guess not all of them are bright orange, but if you pick the orange one you will get a bright orange backpack. It has some internal pockets that were a pleasant surprise. It holds just about everything you need for a day at the beach...that is as long as you take a cooler as well.
