I usually don't write reviews on Amazon but I feel that I have to write one for this cup. It is one of the things with highest quality I have ever bought from amazon. It is really well made. It is both elegant and practical. The handle makes it so much easier to hold a hot cup of tea. The strainer keeps the tea leaves in nicely and let the water flows out very quickly. The inside of the cup is white so you get to observe the color of your tea.

My mom uses this for steeping tea and it does a great job at keeping the tea leaves contained separate from the water. It’s pretty easy to place them in the steeper as well as remove them when she’s finished. The cup itself is beautiful and very durable.

PROS:- The cup was very well packaged, tightly secured and with padding between the strainer and lid so no chipping or bashing could happen in transit.- The cup’s decoration is lovely, and I like the light texture it gives it.- The strainer is excellent - it’s fine enough to prevent any undrinkable escapees, study enough not to bend (some strainers are more of a flimsy mesh, this one isn’t), sits well on the top so no risk of slippage, stands on its own (or on the lid!), and is easy to clean.- It heats well and evenly on a cup warmer.- It’s microwave and dishwasher safe, which is pretty well a requirement at this point.NEUTRALS:- It is on the small side for me personally, I find myself reaching for my 24oz version from a different seller/brand more often.CONS:- None!GIFTABLE?: Yes, the packaging is lovely. I will be sending this as a gift in the future.CONCLUSION:- This one is great! I really like the specific features of the lid and saucer combination and find it heats so well. It’s a winner in my book (unless you drink coffee/tea by the gallons like I do, in which case get a larger one).

This mug arrived in a pretty box, nested securely in a styrofoam insert with another piece of paper foam placed between the mug and the infuser cover. The color is more beautiful and shading more subtle than can easily be described. I ordered the blue mug, and the colors are very earthy and peaceful - like I am enjoying a warm cup of tea while dipping my feet in a soothing hot spring. The bottom of the mug has a moss-covered stone color that graduates into the blue stream color at top of the mug and coaster/cover. The loose tea infuser is much larger than I anticipated - it's nearly the size of the inside of the mug and almost as deep. It's perfect for steeping loose tea, and I would also be able to add fresh lemon or berries to the tea in the infuser. I like that the cover fits nicely over the mug with infuser inserted, but the bottom of the lid is a bit rougher, unfinished/unglazed texture. The picture on Amazon shows the lid placed on top of the mug and infuser while steeping tea, and then another picture shows the lid placed on the tabletop next to the mug, like a coaster that holds the wet infuser. I will be purchasing more of these beauties as gifts for my tea-loving friends!

This tea cup is just as picture and described. It is a bit pricey, but it is a very pretty and makes a good sized cup of tea. I love to have loose leaf tea in a nice big cup and this definately fits the bill. You could use the cup for any beverage, but it comes with both the metal loose leaf tea infuser insert and a nice matching ceramic lid that can also double as a saucer under the cup.
