Love these mulching blades, easy to install and does a fantastic job. Would definitely recommend to other people.

Easy install and chewed up the leaves really good

I’ve got the cub cadet zt1 54” with the fabricated deck purchased 2021. S cams drive the blades, it’s not the star pattern. I don’t think cub cadet tells you which style you have and I couldn’t find it online prior to buying the mower, so hopefully that helps someone.Install was beyond easy with the deck removed from the mower. If you’ve never done that before, you’re going to want to watch a video or two and I recommend investing in a deck leveling kit, they look like an egg scale, to get the blade heights locked in with your adjustment knob. Don’t forget to pitch your deck; I usually run the front about 1/4” lower than the back of the deck. It might be better with more or less, but for me 1/4” works good enough.Once installed these work great. I used to pile all of my leaves and then run them through a leaf mulcher/chipper. This year I blew everything in from the edges and just ran the mower over the leaves. A whole Saturday got reduced to maybe 3 hours. Huge time saver once installed correctly.

Not a fan of picking up leaves every fall. Despite living in a subdivision there are a tremendous amount of leaves that collect in my yard, in the past it would take a solid week working several hours everyday to collect them. Would crush them down in a trailer and would require multiple trips to the yard waste site. Last autumn, I made a resolution to not pick up a single leaf, but how to meet this lofty lazy goal. Had two companies out and they quoted anywhere from $1,800 to $2,400. The research ensued: yard vacuums, lawn sweepers, pull behinds, suckers, blowers, crushers you name it. Finally I came to the conclusion, I would still have to do something with those leaves- not on my watch. So, I ordered this product, pulled the deck off, installed the system and never looked back. Blew the leaves into big piles and mowed them down to Oblivion. Side benefit, natural fertilizer, the grass is growing back this spring greener and more lush than ever.

MULCHES IN VERY SMALL PIECES AND FIT PERFECT

I always run a mulching attachment on my mowers. These works fine and easy enough to remove after cutting to do a cleaning.

I bought a new mower recently and it didn’t mulch the leaves very well. This kit is great. I don’t like mowing and then leaves are still on the grass. This works so well. Very happy we purchased it.

Did not get a chance to use this item, it was sent to me already used, I sent it back.
