I wanted something very small and neat and lightweight. It is all of those things. I already have a fitness watch and this is just slightly thinner than that which is great as I only wanted a very basic timepiece to fit under my gloves. The only real pain in the butt is setting it up.. the instructions are not much use and once you understand how it all works, it is very easy to over set where you want to be and as there is no back option, so you have to cycle through..So to help others -PRESS THE BUTTON AND HOLD IT FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THE HOURS WILL FLASHTAKE YOUR FINGER OFF THE BUTTON AND THEN BACK ON IT TO QUICKLY CYCLE THROUGH THE HOURS (A=AM) (P=PM)THEN ONCE YOU ARE AT THE DIGIT YOU WANT - HOLD IT AND IT SHOULD CYCLE THROUGH TO THE MINS - YOU MAY NEED TO PRACTISE THIS MOVE TO GET IT RIGHTHOLD IT AND KEEP CYCLING THROUGH THE (Y=YEAR) IF YOU MISS YOUR YEAR YOU WILL HAVE TO CYCLE THROUGH TO 2059DO THE SAME FOR MONTH (WHICH IS THE TOP SET) AND THEN DAY OF MONTH (WHICH IS THE BOTTOM SET)ONCE YOU STOP DOING ANYTHING IT SETS - IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE YOU HAVE TO START AGAIN AND CYCLE THROUGH THE OPTIONS AGAINGood Luck.

Great watch ruined by a crazy stupid strap design
My 12 year old absolutely loved this watch, but just got fed up with the very high difficulty level of getting it on and off.If you look at the images you will see the strap has a metal mushroom shaped button which you push through the hole to keep the watch on.Now, usually with this design the button faces up from the wrist and all you have to do is push hard down on the strap until you get a hole to get in it. My wife has a watch with this design and it is a tried and tested style.HOWEVER, for some stupid reason the person who designed this wanted to be different. Special maybe, because with this watch you have to push the metal button part down hard onto your wrist and into a hole, butA) that turts because the tolerance on the hole has to be tight to keep it in.B) The holes will naturally move and , and so with one hand it is virtually impossible to do.C) Ideally you need two thums and two fingers to squeeze the two pieces of strap together,I didn't want to replace the watch so tried it myself, and I had the same problem. Easy with two hand, vitually impossible with one. Frankly it is a daft design, that ruins what would otherwise have been a pefect watch.Oh but just change the strap, I hear you say!The strap is moulded around the bevel face and not help on by a standard pin/axle, so nope that won't work either.I thought about drilling the holes out a mm to make it easier and so less painful to put on but didn't bother as I think it needs the tight tolerance on the hole to keep the metal button in place. As it is, I would definitely not buy this again, nor recommend it to someone else.

Was a little annoying to set
My 13 yr old loves this watch. He had a fit watch thing that measured heart beat but because his wrist is so skinny the green light sensor got very annoying keep flashing. So I went for this basic watch. It looks like a fit watch but is thinner. That is a good thing as it fits under his school shirt cuff, unlike the fit watch. It was a bit frustrating to set because it only scrolls forward and ever sonoften it didnt register my pressing the button to scroll and set itself to wherever it was at. So I would have to start off the set mode again and again and each time having to skio throigh each section until I got to where I left off. That is about all that I found to be a pain. The watch is not lit up until the face is touched/pressed and then the time will display. I haven't asked about the date but it did get me to save the date so I assume it must display it. The other positive thing is that he can put the watch on himself easily whereas usually with watches and the fit watch he needed some help.

Fiddly to set but otherwise great
Bit of a pain to set up but once you have, this watch gives a clear, bright digital readout (including time and date) upon a press of the side button, and fits securely to the child’s arm. My son is 7, small for his age , and this watch fits him on the last hole so theres plenty of growing room! There’s no reason why an adult couldn’t wear it (unless you’re Iron Man!).I’m comfortable that my son can read the analogue class clock so I’m happy to let him have a digital watch that he prefers.

Strap is very difficult to fasten
I bought this for my son because the pins holding the straps on a conventional watch keep breaking. Because this strap has no pins it looked a good thing to buy. However, I saw comments about the strap being difficult to put on and this is certainly true! It is difficult with two hands, virtually impossible with one hand when actually fastening this on my own wrist. The stud is difficult to push through the hole, but I think this will become easier with use, but in the same way I expect the hole might become too large to secure the stud properly so the watch will fall off. Also to see the time I need to have my hand free to press the button to light up the display, which is annoying when carrying something. My boy can’t use it so I’ll keep it for myself to use when I’m doing DIY! When I have eventually got it on my wrist it is comfortable to wear and is quite small so less likely to get caught in things than a chunkier watch would. The numbers are nice and large so easy to see, once the initial intro display has flashed for the first second. I wouldn’t buy this watch again, which is a shame, and I see in the reviews that quite a lot of kids love the watch (once it has been clipped on their wrist by Mum or Dad!)

Very fiddly!
This is for my son who wanted to be like daddy and wear an apple watch. The watch itself is good enough and does what he wants it to. But the strap leaves s lot to be desired!! It’s really fiddly and that was with me trying to put it on to show him how to do it. Why the couldn’t have done it like the Apple Watch strap I’ll never know. It’s like they looked at a picture of a strap and tried to copy it but failed miserably!
