I was very scared as my rice was always nice and loose and very tasty
I bought this as the uncle ben's is on the GMO list and I wanted a natural product, I was very scared as my rice was always nice and loose and very tasty, I had no reason to worry it cooks perfect every single time and no matter what way I am having it, it is always a star, the delivery was very fast also which I was very happy with as we had guests that first night I used it.I would highly recommend this rice and the seller and I will be buying it every time I need rice from now on.Thanks guys.

It's easy cook rice, don't expect it to be like Basmati
Cooks well and doesn't turn into a sticky coagulated mess if you go a second over the cooking time. Not very white when dry and most grains vary in shade from pale yellow to a nicotine yellow/brown. It leaves a yellow grey foamy scum on top of the cooking water which if you use a very large saucepan and plenty of water can be drained off. I think Tilda need to look into their parboiling methods. The cooked rice is white and tastes ok and the grains plump up nicely, stay separated and have a slightly chewy texture. When on offer it's worth a try but not worth paying a premium for.

Just as Long grain easy cook should be
If you have been eating easy cook rice all your life you will definitely know that this is exactly how it should be. Thai and basmati has better flavour but easy cook is great rice if you know how to cook it as well.

I love this rice and the fact that you can buy it in a bigger package than what the supermarket offers at a reasonable price!Would definitely recommend to try it out and see how much money and time you can save instead of buying 1-2kg packages every time.

For best results, Tilda recommends reheating cooked rice in either a pressure steamer or a microwave.
Steamers - Transfer cooked rice to perforated trays and reheat for about 8 minutes on High (based on 4 kilos of cooked rice). For smaller amounts adjust times accordingly.
Microwaves - Place cooked rice on a lightly greased microwaveable tray and cover. Reheat on Full power, stir well and serve.
Timings Guide - (based on 1000w microwave) 4 servings (600g/24oz) 7 minutes from frozen; 3 minutes from chilled.
Individual Portions - These can be reheated directly on serving plates for at least 1 minute, but will need longer if reheated with stews or sauces. Always ensure pre-cooked rice is thoroughly reheated. Portion Control (Uncooked weights per serving). Allow 50 g when using rice as an accompaniment. Allow 40 g in a mixed salad. Allow 75 g as a main meal, e.g. Pilaffs and Paellas.
Hob (from ambient) - Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of salt if liked. When boiling, tip in the rice. Return the water to the boil then stir well. Lower the heat to a fast simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes. Drain and allow to stand for 2 minutes, fork through a little butter or oil, if liked. Serve.
