Seattle Sports Cradle Cable Lock for Kayaks, Canoes, Paddle Boards, Surfboards

I needed something to protect my investment in two higher end kayaks and this cradle lock turned out to be the perfect solution. I don't have any negatives so i'll delve straight into the positives.1) The cable appears very thick and durable. In my opinion it would take a serious cutting tool to get through the metal.2) Perfect length of the cable. This allowed me to lock up my kayaks in a number of different ways. I was able to tie them together and lock them to the roof rack of my SUV. I was also able to lock them together next to the deck next to a hotel, etc.3) The locking mechanism is easy to operate, the key stays in the lock until you are ready to lock it.Overall great product, great design, very pleased.

Can be used to lock sooo many things or keep honest people honest inside house or outside. From roof kayaks, bikes, patio furniture, to threading through drawer handles on the fly for those unfortunate times have unvented caregivers/contractors/etc in home

I was researching ways to secure my kayaks to my vehicle while on a trip, or at the campground when on a day trip and landed on this. So many similar items require winding the cable to remove slack and the reviews indicated it was a pain. This cable is so convinient, as adjustable as you need it to be, and I couldn't be happier.Sure, bolt cutters will make quick work of this, so long term storage won't make sense, but it definitely will stop an unprepared opportunist.

I got this lock to lock my kayak to my deck. I figured it would work just the same as a roof rack. This seems to be a good lock, I had some issues getting to to actually lock the kayak because I have a 10ft kayak so the like was a bit long. That cable goes into the end of the lock whereas the other cable runs through the lock so it's adjustable this means the side where the cable attaches to the end must be taut. You can see in my picture I was JUST able to get it tight enough at the other lasso's end. Ultimately is doing the job and maybe I'm doing it wrong and there's possible a better way, but seems a bit long for a 10ft kayak

This lock is used to lock 2 kayaks, The cable is long enough and the cord would be impossible to cut. I love how easy it is to lock with the key. It came with 2 keys so I am super happy with my Kayak lock. At first it seemed difficult to lock but you need to force it a little and then it is easy. You can lock it on any part of the cable.

I wanted a lock to deter theft while getting lunch and leaving my 2 kayaks unattended for a short period of time. I run the cable through the drain holes and loop it through the roof rack. If someone really wants them, they'll get them, but it'll stop the opportunist thief without tools. The cable is plenty long enough too. Very happy with the purchase.

Excellent lock. Easy to use. Cable could be thicker, but anybody who really wants your kayak is gonna get it. This is a good deterrent. For the people who say the lock slips off the ends of the kayak too easily, you're just applying it incorrectly. I had the same problem until I figured out to put it through the hole in my roof racks, then it could not be slipped over the end. My only minor complaint is that it could be designed to be easier to pull the cable tight while you turn the key to lock it. But I have two sets and have used them on multiple trips and they work great.

Solid lock, easy to use in multiple configurations to lock one boat to an object lasso style, or several boats by threading together.

I like this cable set a lot, it is easy to get through the kayak scoffer holes. Am using it to lock up two 36” wide fishing kayaks. Obviously this is for the grab and snatch, I think if someone comes prepared the cable can be cut.Also because of the cable size I can run through my kayak wheels and lock around a tree. Might be easier then getting them in kayak. Again only to take away the simple temptations.
