I enjoyed the easy read and clarity of writing John provided. The stories were relatable and that made it easy to understand, receive and process the learning. I recommend this book to all who are considering building, deepening and exploring intimacy with God.

This book truly assisted in my personal wasl with God. I opened my heart to what the Holy Spirit was saying to me through Eldredge's experiences. There were some areas of my past that needed healing that I was not aware of. I am not done, but much healing has occurred.

If you want conversation with God to be more two-way than it currently feels, this book is a good guide. I’ve read it through a couple of times and watched the companion videos, and it has helped me better identify moments when God is leading me.

Is a great testimony resource on how another person gleans from the experience of Seeking and finding Truth! I found it to be helpful!

I love John Eldredge books. This book is very thoughtful and requires serious consideration after each segment. I had to get used to the journal-like format and the constant change in subject. But there is so much to reflect and pray over with each insight.

I have been reading many books by John and Stasi over the last year. My foundation and counsel is in the word of God. But, I also find it helpful to supplement with reading devotionals, books, etc of other humble servants of God. Doing so helps me to consider practical ways to apply God’s word to daily life. Like a mentorship. John and Stasi’s books are so truly real and raw. I feel understood, and also learn from what they so generously give as witnesses of the Lord.I also was excited to hear in one of the books that I am not the only one that God speaks to through books.Truly, thank you for your service and these beautiful works. I pray for your family and ministry often and may God bless and keep you all.

This great book will make you closer to GOD. I will highly recommend to everyone who truly wants to feel closet to Almighty God Who Loves US Dearly.

The best part to me was reading about the phases of life...so true...it brought tears to my eyes...not sad tears, but a feeling of this has happened to me. Sharing life with God (the good and the bad) while we walk with him.

Very useful

Eldredge obviously understands the power of storytelling and uses it well. If you are looking for a very practical way to discover how to walk with God this book is for you. I recommend reading "Waking the Dead" before this one.

I may have commented on this book before as this is not my first time of reading it. I took John's advice! It is rich; full of wisdom that comes from practical experience with our Father who loves us. I can not recommend it enough. May God bless those who embark on the record of a year in John Eldredge's walk with God.

This is a great book,and so down to earth,,we can and should all be able to hear God speaking,to us,His ways are so much better than our ways! I love the advice and examples John brings out in this book!
