Q: Does the juice come in contact with anything other than stainless steel?

All MJP models feature stainless steel strainers and bowls. The juice does not come in contact with any any other parts.

Q: What is the material of the black thing that stainless steel strainer and cup rest on? I am concerned because it looks like plastic.

The stainless steel strainer and cup are held in place by the bowl bracket. The bowl bracket is made out of cast metal and is powder-coated for extra strength and durability of the finish. All of the main load-bearing parts are made out of metal and are not plastic.

Q: How wide is the pressing cup? I want to know whether it can adequately cover halved pomegrante to prevent splashing.

I did a whole Pom and those huge orange, i forgot the name of them, but basically anything seem to fit. is pretty damn good and still works like if it were new. I would definitely get it again IF this thing break which it hasn't jucing has never been this good, and making cocktails and lemonade has been super awesome!

Q: Cup height clearance?

I'm not able to measure right now, but I can tell you that an ordinary 16 oz. Solo cup fits under the squeezer with room to spare. The cup is about 4-1/2" tall. So probably 5" from the table to the underside of the squeezer.
