My 11-year-old daughter loves this! It's an excellent hands-on tool (manipulative) that is helping her get a visual idea of where countries are around the world and get a better mental picture of U.S. geography. This is a great tool that enables her to make better mental connections and gain deeper comprehension than just staring at a map of the world and trying to memorize where everything is. Using the stylus kids can touch a country and HEAR the name, SEE the country, TOUCH and FEEL the topography. There are fun extras like learning the population of countries (and comparing them in population to another country of the student's choice), and even learning a word or two of native language of any country the child touches with the stylus. There are challenge games built in as well and a host of other exploration activities. This has been a great tool to use in conjunction with what my child is learning in her 6th grade social studies class. I can happily say I feel like I got my money's worth with this item. I'm a happy mom.

A Big Hit With My Grandson
While visiting my house this summer my 4 year old grandson and I pulled out the globe and we checked out all the places he had visited in his 4 years o life. I showed him how far away he lives from us and we explored. He asked if I would buy him a globe for his 5th Birthday. Can't really argue with that. I let him pick out the globe with is Mom's help and they send a video of Tanner opening the globe. This is a wonderful gift for children to learn about their world, other countries, and discover the differences between geography of locations. They can push the button and learn of the population, culture and so much more. Tanner loved this so much that my daughter had to ask him to put it away while they ate dinner. He wanted to take it along on his trip to visit his paternal grandparents. I was truly surprised at how much he loved this gift. If you have a child interested in learning about the world this is the globe to buy. It arrived within a couple of days of ordering and in excellent condition. Thank you

Loud but good globe
I really like this product and so does my 8-year-old son. He loves facts and maps. It tells you information on the different countries. It plays their national anthem and tells the population. I can’t think of all the facts it mentions currently on the top of my head. The only issue I have with it is that it is so loud. It makes me feel deaf. Yes, you can turn it down. Each time it starts up it’s deafening. My 2-year-old likes playing with it too. He’s constantly turning it on and off. It can get really annoying and super old. On the positive side, he has held up with him playing with it. The glove has fallen off but it puts back on so easily and it doesn’t affect the product. It’s sweet.

WHAT A FUN WAY TO LEARN GEOGRAPHY!
This may be the most wonderful gift I ever bought my grandson!! There are so many functions, ways to quiz yourself, and I'm learning too. He loves world geography and this globe has it all. Languages, money, fun facts, capitols and so much more. I love the USA map on one side, he says the state and the capitol before he touches it just to check himself. It came with the batteries and was ready for play right out of the box. I like that it says goodbye when he turns it off, so no wasted batteries from being left on. He is seven but this is great even for high school kids. The shipping was Amazon Prime fast, and the price was right. I'd recommend this to anyone. What a fun way to learn!

Awesome lerning toy
This is an awesome product. We bought it for my 3 year old and it's a little much for her though she does like it. For an older kid to use for geology or history homework or for a homeschooler this would be awesome. Heck I'm 32 and I think it's super cool. Did you know Russia celebrates Christmas twice a year or that in 1947 the lowest temperature recorded in Canada was -81 degrees, this globe will tell you all kinds of amazing facts, populations, languages, geology info, and so much more! I've been playing with it since we opened it up. It literally has tons of information.

Pair this with Netflix’s Carmen SanDiego!
My kids LOVE this globe. They break it out for Jeopardy shows, travel plans, and just plain fun. I personally got a kick out of playing the robotic national anthems and the kids like playing the world challenge game. We also use it to compare places they read about or hear about on TV. Worth every blessed second.Note: The languages are a bit off in both pronunciation as well as correct semantic use. The English is completely fine but nobody pronounces bonjour as “bahn-jurr.”

BEST Learning Tool TO DATE!
After reading the reviews, I was afraid I had made a mistake ordering this. However, it arrived very quickly & is by far the BEST learning tool I have purchased for my 4-year-old granddaughter (and I have bought quite a few!). She enjoys playing her 'magic piano' with the music and is fascinated with learning from her globe (and I am learning, too). With the upcoming Olympics, we are spending a lot of time listening to the national anthems & she understands the concept of medals, the podium & having your national song played when you win. She also is learning to stand & put her hand over her heart when the Star Spangled Banner play (wrong hand, sometimes, but learning). I could not be more pleased with this purchase.

Perfect for my 3rd Grade Daughter
My 3rd grade daughter really likes this! I keep it in our office and a couple days/ week she and a friend will come by and stat playing with it. Her favorite is the national anthems - she's listened to every one but only likes Mexico's b/c it's the only one that sounds "happy". A cute little tidbit she never would have had any interest in otherwise. They are learning continents and states in school so it's perfect timing. The actual globe is a little smaller than a real globe and it doesn't have the 3D mountain ridges etc like on traditional globes - that kind of bummed me out but to her it doesn't matter. I was a little OCD about researching which would be best for her and was nervous I'd get the wrong one but glad I went with this one.
