This is a waste of money. It does not work for my kinky curly hair. but the manufacturer said it does. NO, IT DOES NOT WORK FOR KINKY CURLY HAIR!!!

Best hair gel!

The original 2020 formula had great slip, hydrated my kinky hair, while creating AMAZING curls. I could wear the product for two weeks without shampooing, but refreshing the curls and adding more product every other day. It air-dried easily too.The 2021 version has a different formula with different ingredients. If you have kinky hair it won’t create curls, it doesn’t have good slip anymore and it definitely does not dry easily. HOWEVER, if you’re looking for something to nurture and moisturize your strands, this is the product to use. It’s best used on damp, clean, conditioned hair; you can then add in this product and put your hair into small twists.Yes, it takes FOREVER (DAYSS) to dry because the main ingredient is marshmallow root which is a very sticky substance when melted BUT once it is dry, you can untwist and the hair is shiny, soft, and swishes side to side on its own.If you prefer untwisted styles, I suggest putting in the product all over your clean, damp hair, wait a day for it to dry, then add in the gel of your choice while gently detangling.Either way I notice that while using it I retain more length, experience less breakage, and more scalp health.Moral of the story: because of the formula changing over the past few years, this product takes a lot work if your texture is more kinky/coily. Biggest suggestion: use if you’re google to use it, commit to it and learn how to make it work. If you’re looking for a quick fix, I don’t recommend this product for you.Science. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have thick, curly hair and this gel holds it. It's amazing. I like the slip, you don't have to use a lot and it lasts. You do have to take your time and work in small sections, very small sections, but it worked for me.

This product made my hair fall out. I really tried not to listen to some of the bad reviews and I definitely paid the price. Do your research before using a product.

Fantastic product. Unlike the Deva Curl light gel, it does not dry out my hair, in fact it makes it soft and shiny.
