Great product for the money

Great price and great product. It holds up that’s for sure. I have had it bent pretty good.

As a mechanic, I own several 1/2" ratchets. I got this one for it's ability to lock the head. I now use is it more than my Snap On ratchet.It feels good in the hand. The head is not floppy when locked in. It seems to take the rough stuff with no problems.Overall a great ratchet with one problem. It's a little to long for some applications. When in the engine compartment, there are times that it is so long that it gets stuck. Everywhere else this thing rocks.

I've had this ratchet about a year now, and i work at a full service garage, nothing i've done this thing hasn't handled, just as good as my snap on one, at a quarter of the cost. Only issue i've had with it is over time the switch to unlock and lock the head in place will rust internally, had to PBblast it and play with it a bit to loosen up and unlock, other then that, been ok.Bottom line, would i buy it again, Yes, just remember to oil it once in a while.

I really love EZ Red tool quality. This half inch drive long ratchet is probably far less than half of a Snap On. I doubt it'd ever break faster than a high dollar tool. Perfect for rotating the engine or snapping loose large bolts to zip out with something else. Also excellent for putting on screws "good n tight".

I am changing my review because today my ratchet broke without warning. It had been a strong ratchet, but out of the blue while breaking loose an axle nut, the head snapped off at the swivel. Now mind you, the bolt that holds the head on didn't break. The head broke right above the bolt. Time to see how good ez reds customer service is. Only got about 8 months of limited use out of this ratchet.UPDATE: So within 6 months of receiving the replacement head for my ratchet. It has now broke as well. I can no longer in good faith suggest ANYONE buy this ratchet. It is not dependable, and well you get what you pay for. It's cheap, and it won't last.Wish I could give it NO stars.
