Its true the hinges will eventually wear out but I always wrap it with a thick rubber band anyway. Those ones with locks are bulky and unreliable. And otherwise it is lightest, and strongest and aesthetically pleasing of all. And made in USA?

I bought this for my grandma she loves it. I have four different size birds they all give me different size eggs. From barely a large all the way to jumbo chicken eggs and I have not had a problem with them fitting in the carton. It seems very sturdy I haven't used it more than twice.

Good to keep eggs dry and protected in a camping cooler

There is some "whiteness" to the green on the "hinge" section. Wondering how long before that cracks! HOWEVER, it is a sturdy piece. Should the hinge section crack, I'll the sturdiness of the unit itself will allow me to repair it.
