Solid Advice from a Master Entrepreneur
You would have to pay a lot of money to hire a consultant to advise you on the many issues that this book covers. The book is full of real-world tips for anyone who wants to be more successful in this rapidly-changing world of business and social media. The challenge in writing this review is in deciding which of the gold nuggets to mention. Here is a small list of the many answers you will get from Gary's book:•Who to pitch an app to: "it's strategic to consider an investor's history if you want to predict their interests in the future."•The best way to grow a following•Interesting advice on recycling content•Whether or not you should create videos for FB rather than YouTube•Smart advice on how a business should use Pinterest• Why you should not automate your tweets• The difference between a jab and a hook and should your landing page be a jab or a right hook• Whether you should pay more attention to Twitter than Instagram• How to handle social media if you are an employee of a "strict" company• Secrets to driving book sales• How to engage with audiences reluctant to talk publicly about products they use, e.g. if you are marketing hair loss products, etc.• The biggest secret for a flawless presentation: gold advice from a man who is a natural at public speaking• and much more! There are also many clever and inspiring turns of phrases that I loved. For example:"Passion is an unmatched fuel.""Your success is not predicated on your zip code.""Facebook is content awareness gold.""Use Twitter search to act as your bionic ears."Inspiring metaphors in the book: cloud and dirt. Cloud: "High end philosophy and beliefs; the heart of everything you do. It's the huge picture." Dirt: it's about "being a practitioner and executing towards those clouds." We tend to play in the middle.I also learned about new sites I wasn't aware of: Yik Yak, Meerkat, Medium, Meetup, Yo, Ello, Outbrain, Taboola, Hexagram. If you are not aware of these, you might want to check them all.The book has something for everyone: whether you are a restaurant owner, a high school senior, a college professor who needs to engage with his students, a photographer, a funeral director, a charity dealing with depressing content, a musician, music teacher or music producer, a sales professional (very important advice here), or a human resources person (e.g. the best place to hire employees and other issues of hiring) -- It's all in these 22 chapters, written in brief, easily digestible pieces.A bonus is a charming chapter on wine that I enjoyed. This self-confessed man "who eats pressure for breakfast..." brings an energy and immediacy in the way he provides advice from one question to the next, and I found myself devouring the book in one sitting. He might just succeed in getting you to "hustle until there is not a drop of juice left" as he puts it.In answer to how he would like to be remembered, Gary said: ". . . as someone who made an effort to help people do things that make them happy. . ." That sums up what he might very well achieve for you with the writing of this timely book.

The Only Book You Need (aside from his other three)
I finished this book a couple days ago and wrote a review on instagram, but figured I would give the 'Zon here some love as well with some edits. So let's get into the boooooook (review). First off, I will say that this book is a must have if you want to succeed in a business in today's world. Succeed, not if you want to start a business, because in your heart, you should know whether or not you want to start a business and a book shouldn't guide you there, but rather be a guide for you to succeed. This book will not sugar coat anything you need to do. This is not a shortcut, this is not an easy fix, and most of all, this is not your standard 'how to' book. That being said, you could have titled this book 'business media for dummies' if that weren't already a book line. And if it weren't so condescending to its consumer base. Why is that? Because there are no big words here to mislead anyone, no delving into the technical language of business, no legal mumbo jumbo that can trip up so many people who may assume that's what they are getting into when picking up a business-oriented book. It is straight forward solutions to business problems. You don't need a business degree or any degree for that matter to understand this book. All you need is an open mind that the way we do business in today's world is already changing and will continue to change at a fast pace. The options are to get smart or find someone who is, because media will continue to change the way we do business. On top of all this is Gary's humor and simple and honest way of saying anything anything that needs to be said. Sure some of the information can be in big scale, but if you know how to scale it down and apply it propperly, you are half way there.Like any episodes of the #askgaryvee show you should know that this isn't some soft content attempt to make some money out of a book. This content is here to use, and I recommend that you use it. Hell, it even has an index to navigate the content. I couldn't get three chapters into this book without it lighting a fire under my ass. Anyone who has a business, desires to start a business, or even just want insight into how social media is influencing today's business should have this book.I even forced my girlfriend to watch countless Gary Vee videos and nudged her continuously to read this book. Not because I think it is some magical text that will align the planet's and make money fall from the sky, but because if you are serious about your business in this age, you need this book.

An authentic and passionate insight into what it takes to achieve your full potential
Seeing content by Gary for a while now driven by passion and authenticity, I thought his book would be a good read and I wasn’t disappointed.Like a lot of his content, he gives an authentic and passionate insight into what it takes to achieve your full potential and goals in life. The book is loaded with questions he’s been asked over the years where he responds with concised authentic answers, with enough context to make you feel inspired and motivated.“Pumping everyone full of confidence makes for a more creative, risk-taking environment.”“Passion is an unmatched fuel”“Maybe we all look for excuses to explain why we don’t achieve what we want to, and we should be more self-aware and recognize how much control we actually have over our own fate…it’s amazing how as soon as you make the shift from “I can’t” to “Why can’t I?” you go from defense to offense, and as everyone knows, the best place to score is always on offense.”“The only effective way to truly lead is to practice and model the behaviour you want to see in others…the top has to ensure that its values, beliefs, and attitudes trickle down to shape the culture and encourage a productive, innovative, creative, and even happy environment.”

Buy it!
Providing you put 2% + into action from what you have learnt after reading #AskGaryVee I am not sure how you would fail to see a significant ROI on spending $20/£12 and investing 10 hours to read it!I have never met Gary Vaynerchuk but he certainly comes across as incredibly genuine and seems to love to see others succeed. It is fair to say that many of the questions asked in the book have featured on his show for free but the book represents an extra rich source of easy to absorb pearls of wisdom delivered by a man that is not just talking the talk but also walking the walk. Many people write books after the event but #AskGaryVee is very much of the moment and I simply cannot imagine how it is possible not to be a wiser and more savvy operator after reading this book. The book is practical, insightful and, most importantly, realistic. On a final note, anyone who is serious about social media marketing must listen to the Audio Book version as Gary goes off script and ad-libs on many occasions during the reading which adds extra insight, nuance and, ultimately, value. As a keen listener of business audio books, particularly internet business based books, I find #AskGaryVee to be a valuable and resourceful book that I cannot recommend highly enough!

Gary Vee, master of the multiple multitask business chaos.
I only recently "discovered" Gary Vee, but after watching some of his most recent Ask Gary Vee shows and Daily Vee episodes I realised hes put that much FREE content out there that I would never have the time to watch it all, let alone get "sh1t done" as well. So, I pre ordered the book and downloaded the audible version on the release day while I waited for my hard copy to arrive.I wasn't disappointed! I got a Fitbit for Christmas, so listening to this book whilst getting my daily step-count up was a double bonus on fit brain and fit body. I love that he delivers the audio content himself in his usual free-flowing style, the answers on the show differ from those in the book and those given on the audio version as Gary re-answers the questions and add libs on the audio book. He also added 100 questions in the book which weren't on the show. Great energy, great strategies, great motivation from a guy who's proved his worth by being a daily practitioner in his successful businesses. His work ethic is superhuman, his analysis searingly sharp, he will be on the right side of history with his predictions regarding the internet, communication and social media platform impact on business marketing. If you want to learn how to get on that bus and improve your business, buy it, its well worth the £13.60 investment.

The audio book is also worth purchasing Gary gives difference answer on this and is nearly like an entire new book
If you have seen any work by Gary in the past such as the highly successfully ask Gary Vee show or Wine library TV. This is more of the same motivational enthusiastic business knowledge and goes into more details of some of the questions asked in the show some of them he has an updated answer on because the answer on the show was the initial reaction. The audio book is also worth purchasing Gary gives difference answer on this and is nearly like an entire new book. I can tell lots of effort and time has gone into creating this book and it is worth more than the price I paid for it given all the free knowledge on marketing social media and business I have gain from Gary on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and snapchat.

100% recommended
I've got to know Gary over the decade. I've seen him sharing, growing and learning.. And more than that helping. His #AskGaryVee work is a massive step forward both those in the corporate space looking to make the step outside and into the faster waters of modern entrepreneurship and social influence, and also those looking to free themselves from the distraction rich world of the guru cult snake oil training space.I come from a background of business, banking and entrepreneurship. I also know there is more to life than just making money. Why I'm writing this is in the last few days, I met with Gary live in London and watched him being present and talking to hundreds of people who came and asked Gary V. There was no ego, there was no security, there was a man who was and is deeply passionate about 1) being authentic 2) cutting through the BS 3) walking his talk.He wouldn't have done that for the money or to sell some books. He actually 100% deeply cares. Meet him, shake his hand and get behind the "noise" of @askgaryveeWe also run a charity , and we've given his previous books - jab jab jab hook, and shared his content and it's made a difference to a lot of people. So far early days.. But the same here ..If you want to see why 300+ people came at a few hours notice after a simple post on Instagram and snapchat.. Read this book. And remember all it takes is one simple idea, implemented to make the difference. This book will give you more than one..There are fewer people right now I would recommend you read if you wanted a fresh mindset and fresh take - based on tried and tested logicGary is someone that is walking the talk of being a growth mechanic and I know because I am too. This is not noise or gambling. This is work. And he's loyal to what he knows works. He's also willing to admit - I was wrong and learn and move forward.Read the book, apply what you learn, and hopefully I'll be learning and partnering and buying from you soon too.SimonHedley.com
