A.C. Legg Old Plantation Seasonings - Blend 7 Pork Sausage Seasoning - 2 Pack of 8 Ounce each

Sausage is a hard thing to make to please everyone. The old recipe that grand grand grandpappy used back in the day is the standard by which all sausage is judged. This seasoning fit the bill for us. Not too salty and I like sage, the Hubs does not. This has just a bit to please the sage lovers and not so much as to offend the rest. We are on our third year using this product.

My husband's family bought sausage from a rural shop (Cason's) in Thomson, Georgia for decades until they retired and closed the business. We have never found a replacement, until trying this seasoning. We ground pork and add this by weight, with fantastic results. This is our 4th bag of Blend 7 seasoning and there will be many more! Blend 10 is good for a milder version too.

This is a great seasoning. I has great flavor its my go to. We love it.

Thusnif for Blend 7, it's probably a breakfast sausage mix. Needs more spice and a tad less salt. Mixed it as recommended, little salty. Ended up adding a bunch of nutmeg, ginger, sage, white pepper, black pepper, and some crushed reds. Then it was good. Lol. Decent base. I just like my breakfast sausage more seasoned. It's pretty OK though so I'd still recommend it if you like a mild breakfast sausage that's on the more salty side.

Not too spicy but definitely the flavor I was looking for. This amount of seasoning will likely last me years. I will have to vac pack and freeze it for future use. One of the things I liked particularly was the fineness of the seasoning. Not chunky or clumped up at all. I will be looking to Legg for other seasonings for my ground meat needs.
