Fantastic Sound, Solid Build – Highly Recommended!
I've been using the Edifier R1700BT speakers for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed. The build quality is excellent — they feel sturdy and well-crafted, with a clean, modern design that fits nicely on a desk or shelf.Sound-wise, they deliver a smooth, natural audio profile that’s easy on the ears. The highs are crisp without being harsh, the mids are balanced, and the lows are full and present — not overly boosted, but definitely satisfying. Whether I’m listening to music, watching movies, or even doing some light audio editing, the sound is rich and detailed. The power output is exactly as advertised — loud enough to fill a room without any distortion. Bluetooth connectivity is quick and reliable, and switching between wired and wireless is seamless.Overall, these speakers offer outstanding value for the price. If you're looking for a pair of bookshelf speakers with great sound, reliable performance, and solid build quality — I highly recommend the R1700BT.

Perfect for rooms around 100-150 square feet
I've had the Edifier R1700bt pair up and running for 9 days and have averaged about 8 hours of use per day.I have them connected through the RCA jacks on a Wiim Ultra and paired with an Edifier T5 sub connected through the sub out on the Wiim Ultra.I ran them for one day without the sub attached and through the dials on the speaker was able to get rich, accurate sound out of them. Even without the sub, I was surprised with how much base they kicked out.Once I added the sub and let the Wiim do all EQ duties, these guys really opened up.They get way louder than necessary in my dining room (10' x 14').I haven't heard any hum or crackling and am able to get crisp, clean sound at very high levels. Separation is good and I can hear every subtle nuance in the music.I can't imagine there is a better choice in the price point and would buy them again in a minute.

BlueTooth but NOT Wireless
These speakers sound amazing, I'm hearing layers of songs that I never heard before.BUT...Even though they are BlueTooth, they are NOT "wireless".By this I mean that you cannot plug them both into wall power and have them wirelessly receive their signal.Instead, the primary speaker receives the BlueTooth signal from your PC/whatever and is then connected with a **proprietary cable** that carries power and signal to the secondary speaker! While it's nice not having to run an RCA cable from the PC to the speakers, having to physically connect the speakers together is a pretty major detractor from the whole point of purchasing a set of wireless speakers.

Great Sound In A Small Package
Amazing how you can get such good sound, with a separate bass, treble adjustment, which helps dial in what you want without needing all that fancy EQ equipment. Used to need 2 or 3 foot tall speakers to get great sound. Shows my age, but these work great for my new record player and entertainment area. For a normal size room ( 500 to 1,000 SF ), in a normal size house, these are great. If you want more bass, get the pair that offer an output source for a subwoofer. For my smaller room area, I don't need it. If you have a bigger house room, or just need to impress with massive sound and speakers, then these might not be for you.

Excellent Sound
My laptop has terribad speakers. I got a pair of these as an early birthday present and I am extremely happy with them. They are exactly what I needed. My laptop is set up in my garage which can be a noisy environment. I needed some powered Bluetooth speakers to cut down on wires running everywhere. Ive had these going for almost a week and they are perfect. The highs are crisp, and the mids are perfect for me. The bass isn't impressive, but they're not really made for a lot of bass. I might add the subwoofer in the future to make movie-watching a little more interesting.I don't know what a big audio-snob would think of them, but I love them and highly recommend you grab these, especially when they're on sale.
