Super Cute!
This is a great magazine! We received our first issue and my daughter loves it. The magazine has lots of stories to read aloud or together. The illustrations are cute and there was even a cut out bouquet on our may day issue. However, I wish I had received June issue first because May is over and we received it last day of May. Hoping this isn't the case with all of the magazine issues. We'd like to receive them at the beginning of the month instead of the end. That's the reason for 4 stars.

Great for generations
When I was a kid my grandmother bought s a subscription to Ladybug and I remember how much I loved receiving the magazines in the mail. They are filled with fresh stories and fun activities. When my daughter turned 4 I decided to get her a subscription as well. She loves it! We have been getting our magazines for two years now and have yet to be disappointed. Such a great thing to do for your littles and it’s much more affordable than a book subscription.

Nice, but the delay is buzz-killing
Ordered November 22nd, and was told, the first issue will arrive February 9th. This seems long. Very long.Well, the first two magazines have finally arrived -- a few days after the promised date, and they seem pretty and engaging for the child. But I'm still sore over the delay.

Great read-aloud magazine
Great magazine for reading aloud to the kids. I think its tailored to pre-K through 2nd grade, but toddlers will be fine with joining the read-along and pointing out things in the various pictures. Good number of pages and variety of stories in each issue make it a pickup for multiple sessions per issue. Cover and pages are solid enough to resist immediate destruction.

A wonderful magazine for young children!
I found an old copy of these magazine in a Little Free Library, and I was impressed at the variety of offerings for my then 2.5 (now almost 3) year old. After checking some other issues out of the library and finding them equally rich, we signed up for a subscription right away. Every issue contains a few short stories (some with recurring characters you meet again every issue), several poems, a song (with sheet music!), a dance/action rhyme, a cut-out activity (a little booklet to paste pictures inside, a deck of cards to cut out and play memory with, etc.), and some of the most gorgeous and humorous illustrations to grace children's literature. I look forward to receiving each issue, too!

Inconsistent in reading levels but lots of diversity
Our toddler loves this magazine (but she’s an avid reader) but we can’t stand it. We love the racial diversity but neither of us enjoys the stories or reading her to her, and they’re ridiculously varied in age appropriateness. For example, there’s a half story about Kate, who makes a basket for Max and leaves it for him and he catches her (the end) and then there’s a story about friends who split everything “fifty-fifty”—as if my two year old gets percentages—and try to decide what to do with a quarter. I do appreciate the cultural and racial diversity.

Engaging kid magazine
Love this magazine. Enough recurring characters. Little bit of everything. A long story; a find and seek; a poem; etc

Great magazine for little kids
My 3 year old niece loves this magazine a whole lot partially because she loves mail, but regardless, she "reads" it over and over again. She is extremely sensitive to scary stories or pictures and this magazine is none of that. It's really sweet and has the kind of stories that keep her innocent little mind at peace. My sister loves it because it doesn't add to the "more stuff" problem she has because my niece has two sets of grandparents that spoil her to no end. And I love it because I live far away from her and she now remembers that her auntie gives her a magazine in the mail every other month. :)
