This item was received in good time. I use this mostly in preparing Chinese dishes and it is great flavour.

EXCELLENT!!! A VERY USEFUL ADDITION TO MY SPICE CABINET!!!! When I first opened the pouch of Shiitake Mushroom Powder from Collected Foods, it had a pleasant, but very mild earthy scent. I tried a little bit straight out of the pouch and, just as the scent, the flavor seemed mild. I wondered whether this spice was substancial enough to add anything to my food. BUT WHAT A SURPRISE WHEN I COOKED WITH IT!!!! Since then I've added it to several dishes, including Asian, Italian, and Caribbean-style sauces. If you want to know the meaning of Umami, you definitely must have this spice in your kitchen cabinet!!!!

It’s okay product. It’s too powdery. Very mild flavor. Not worth for the price.

Good price and flavor

This does not have flavor. If anything is has the slightest hint of fine powder cornstarch. There is no umami or mushroom flavor. I even combined with salt see if that would enhance it. No it did not. No earthy,rich flavor. It's tinted powder. I'm upset I wasted my money on this!

Oh my goodness this stuff is so good! I’m not a huge fan of mushrooms due to the slimy nature of them, but seriously this powder is what I need to enhance the flavor of my gravies and sauces without actually using mushroom. So earthy and well creamy tasting! Love it!
