It says top shelf only for dishwasher. I have been putting mine in the bottom also but turning off the temperature boost. So far they have done ok. They also can not go in the microwave.

From what I understand, melamine may have lows levels of BPA. Some melamine products state they are BPA free, these do not state that. Do not use these in a microwave. These are safe for dishwasher only on top rack.

Q: Can these go in the microwave?

No. Melamine cannot go in the microwave. My daughter's boyfriend put one in my microwave. Not only did the plate crack but it burned a hole in the floor of my microwave. Had to buy a new microwave.
