Update: 4-21-19After writing my initial review (see below) I received an email, notifying me that I'd be sent a new blanket. The new blanket had absolutely no pulled threads.I've been using the replacement blanket for several months. I absolutely love it. I appreciate the organic cotton.The weave is a bit delicate. I'm careful so as not to snag it on something. I think it's a great blanket for those who like organic cotton and are relatively careful with their things. I would not recommend this blanket for teens or young children!I ordered my dad one of these blankets, too. So far, there's been no pulled threads in his blanket. But again, he's an adult and is careful.If another blanket is needed, I would order another one of these!Received blanket today. Washed it in cold wayer on delicate cycle. Dried it on low temp. Thought all was well. Eagerly placed it over the bed and discovered 1 large, long snap (see photo). There are 2 small snags as well. However, for some reason the 2nd photo won't load. Was planning to buy more. But not now.

I got this for my 3 year old’s bed to replace her synthetic blanket in the hope that natural fibers will not further inflame her eczema.The blanket is really soft and a pretty color. She really loves it!I was really excited to find a pretty affordable clean, organic option for my family and didn’t mind paying the extra for something that would better the health of my kids. Unfortunately, as I opened the box I immediately saw mildew stains on the canvas bag and was worried about the blanket. Fortunately, (and sadly-we try to avoid single use plastic) the blanket was packaged in a plastic bag inside the canvas one. The blanket smelled so terrible that it went straight into the washing machine on a delicate cold cycle so that my daughter could use it that night. Even after washing it, the smell remained so I tumbled it with some dryer balls with lavender essential oils which really helped.When I got it out of the machine to hang it to dry I noticed that it had come with one of the corner seems ripped out and frayed. I am afraid that it will continue to fray and get worse.I was really hoping to love these enough to buy more of them for myself and my other kids but it’s hard for me to want to spend money on items that arrive damaged.Update: we kept the original blanket with the frayed corner and did not attempt to fix it. The blanket has held up well to washing and drying and is the most comfortable blanket we own and all of the kids want to sleep with it. I got one of my other kids a different brand to be able to get her the blue color she wanted and it is awful and scratchy no matter how many times I wash it. I highly recommend this blanket, just be sure to check them over before washing so you can get a refund if it is damaged (I did not reach out to the company or try to return ours as my daughter was in love with it and we needed it for her skin condition).

It's difficult to find an organic cotton blanket. This one is a pretty color, but the weave is incredibly loose with big holes. That makes it much too likely that loops will get snagged and pulled. This was only used a few days and already looks like it's been through the wars. I stored it for emergency use and found another organic blanket that has a tighter weave.

I put this blanket between my sheet and thin bedspread and it keeps me so warm, even in the middle of winter (20°F as the lowest I’ve combatted with this blanket). The blanket itself doesn’t get pilly, but it does release little balls of material after being washed. I can’t tell a difference in the quality of the material after several washes though. I will be using this blanket for a long time.

This blanket is so soft, warm and nice looking. It has been great since this winter has been a cold one. A little bit on the heavier side, but I like that in a winter blanket. Well made from quality material. Looking to purchase more for my other bedrooms soon.

I sent my friend's daughters each a blanket for Christmas. My friend is very eco-conscious as well as sensitive to chemicals and dyes that can be found on so many products we lay close to our body. She was absolutely ecstatic over the packaging slip included which was a certificate saying the blankets were certified to not contain any harmful chemicals or dyes.

I was skeptical at first but I am glad I got this. It is GOTS verified on the GOTS website and has certificates with it to make sure that it was legit. It is very thin and soft. Will work perfect as a layered blanket

Great blanket. Got king size and folded it over to double it up - so warm! Didn't smell like chemicals other blankets. So cozy. Cheaper than other organic blankets so I was worried and skeptical, but happily surprised.Does shed a bit into the air but this goes down after washing and drying. I dried it on high against instructions to get many of the flyaway off. Still, for the price, highly recommend.

This is a beautiful blanket but came damaged. Even worse, this comes from the USA, which I don't understand since I ordered on the canadian amazon. Item is big and makes returning a huge hassle. I would caution buyers outside the USA in purchasing this because, while it's a lovely item, the weave is obviously very easily damaged and returning it is not easy
