The first all-natural hair elastic?
I'm super excited to find a hair elastic that uses no petrochemicals, since I care about that kind of thing. The ethics of this company are great and I love what they are doing. So how do these stand up to use?PROS- Strong and grippy! The cotton and rubber elastic they use is sturdy and it grips the hair really well- Sized just right so you can wear it around your wrist when it's not in your hair- Well constructed: the stitched attachment point on these is carefully sewed with a reinforcing piece of fabric- Impeccably sourced materials including natural rubber and cotton elastic (no petrochemicals)CONS- Very grippy! These aren't easy to slide out of your hair. I have to work them out carefully to avoid pulling out hairs.- The white tag looks cute when it's on my wrist, but it stands out in a bad way when it's in my hair. I have dark hair and bought the black hair bands, so the white tag tends to look like a bit of trash got caught in my ponytail. An inherent issue with any rubber-based elastic, is that eventually it will stretch out too much and the tiny strands of rubber will start breaking. If you don't expose it to heat (like the dryer) and don't over-stretch it, it will last longer. Of course, synthetic hair elastics stretch out and break too, and I think these will last longer than your typical Goody elastics. When it eventually wears out, I will toss it into my compost pile and see what happens!

Good, not great.
*I was not paid or promoted to write this review*These are fiiiine. I have shoulder length wavy hair (somewhere between 2a and 2b) that I frequently put in a ponytail. I’m right in between twisting it around my hair 3 or 4 times. 3 is too loose and 4 is too tight, so I end up choosing 4 times and I stretch them a little. While I’ve had one of these hair ties for over a month (whereas a Goody brand one I’d get 3 weeks, if I’m lucky), it’s not holding up well. I have to cut off little bits of the rubber every couple days at this point so it doesn’t pull on my hair. It also hasn’t stayed flat the way I’d hoped; it did this weird “flair” thing you can see in the pictures and I use no heat on my hair. The good news is that the cheaper hair ties seem to break by snapping at the weld point while I’m attempting to tie my hair, sometimes leaving my fingers stinging. But I don’t foresee these having that issue since the weld is strong and sewn together. These claim to not “crimp” your hair but as someone with fine hair, I haven’t noticed any difference. The tie is still usable the way it is and it is still lasting longer than the cheaper brands. I hoped these would be the last hair ties I purchased for a while, considering they’re over $3 a piece, but I’ll keep looking once these have been trashed in about 6 months.

Work great, save the world
These stayed put in my hair, which is really the main thing, and as you can see from my photo, my lifestyle really puts hair ties to the test. Between my kitties playing with my hair and dogs excited greetings and hikes in the great outdoors, they wouldn’t be worth it if I lost them into the void.Colors are pretty, I wish I could have bought matching color sets without getting stuck with boring white and grey. I used the boring ones first in case they got lost. They were interesting to get used to since they’re flat... they fold up when you wrap them around your braid, not like the round kind i was used to.Then I went and hacked off all my hair. I have given away the colorful ones, no one wanted to white and grey... so that at least proves the point that my friends would rather have colors than non-colors!

Great, environmentally-friendly hair ties!
I've been a fan of these ties since I bought my first set from a retailer that specializes in plastic-free merchandise. So imagine my pure delight when I found out these were available on Amazon now and in a much wider variety of colors. What's so great about these ties is in their simplicity. There's no bells and whistles, only a simple yet sophisticated look with quality, durable, environmentally friendly materials. As a runner, I use these ties religiously. I've run half marathons in all sorts of weather conditions with one of these holding up my hair, and I've not experienced a single issue. They stay where I need them to stay, yet they don't pull at my hair. And when the day finally comes (hopefully not for many years) when these ties reach the end of their lives, I can feel good knowing that the materials won't do long-term harm to the environment the way plastics do. KOOSHOO has really knocked it out of the park with these. Well done!

Love them.
So far I love these hair ties. Originally wanted them for their eco benefits, but also really impressed with the quality. I have very fine, thin hair and most hair ties slip out or loosen. These stay tight in my hair, even when working out. I can loop them around three times, but imagine most people would only need to loop around 2 times. They are a little pricey, but since I keep one on my wrist 24/7, I want good quality. The cheapo ones always broke or stretched out too quickly. Plus, they’re really cute.

Good for the green community
I like these hairties because they are "green" and cruelty-free. So far I've been using them for a couple of weeks and I really like that they are sturdy and not looking like they're going to rip like some other brands that snap when I stretch them pre-wear. My favorite thing about them is that you can wear them on your wrist and if you forget about them don't worry, they won't leave a nasty rope dent, they fit perfectly around my wrists without any indentation in my skin. They get pretty tight on the 3rd wrap of a pony tail, but that means it's not going anywhere. I will be buying more when I run out of the store bought ones I have.

LOVE. ♥️
WOW. LOVE LOVE LOVE these hair ties.I can only speak as someone who has long, thick hair. Where in the past I would have to double up on your standard Goody or Scunci hair ties to keep my hair up, and have them stretch out or snap within a couple of months, these environmentally friendly Kooshoo hair ties are not only thoughtfully designed but super strong.I was floored that my first Kooshoo tie lasted 6+ months before it stretched out and needed to move on to the next. It made me feel guilty that one pack would likely last me for 3+ years that I started purchasing these hair ties for friends so that I can support the company.Probably shouldn’t be so shocked/jaded that products can still be well-made and not susceptible to planned obsolescence.Great for thick hair. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
