Gangi Dante Organic Dried Oregano Herb from Sicily, .88 oz

Works really well in fresh sauce and pizza.

I’d prefer to buy the Gangi Dante oregano in a jar, just because it’s easier. But it’s no longer available on Amazon, so I bought the branch version. I’m not a fan of Mexican oregano, too musty, or Greek, too acrid, but this Sicilian is just wonderful, intense and earthy with a woodsy fragrance. To make it easier to store and use, I spent about a half hour crumbing it off the branch, then transferred to a jar. I ended up with a half cup, so I’m good to go. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s so good that I’ll always have this product on hand!

I really enjoy using this oregano in my recipes. You know what you're getting when you shake the leaves off the stem.

Lots of stems which is to be expected however it was a bit much.Couldnt get away with that if it was a different herb. Not even Christmas and it’s all gone 😩.

This is the only oregano that I use! The flavor makes any dish taste just wonderful..my homemade pizza's are now better than any pizza shop around. The only complaint I have was the way it was shipped, it is packaged in a very thin and "crispy" plastic package which is prone to damage when shipped in a envelope(even the padded one it was placed)..In my opinion it should be boxed and shipped.My package was quite crushed causing the oregano to be broken off the stem's...

The oregano is on the woody stems and has to be teased off of it without the stem. A little tedious. But it is worth it for the flavor of this product.

Gorgeous! This smells and tastes wonderful. There is no comparison between this product and the dried leaves that can be purchased at your local grocery store. These are the dried flowers. There is an enormous difference in taste. I will never use the dried leaves again. They taste like sawdust to compared to this product. I snip off what I need, crumble it between my fingers and then add to salads, pasta sauce, etc. Especially delicious on sliced tomatoes, with just a drizzle of olive oil, vinegar and a little chopped fresh chile. Really lovely and worth every penny. I won't be without it.
