Excellent rolling pin but....
So this is a really nice metal rolling pin. Not heavy, but just the right weight. The six silicone bands (2, 3 & 5mm) work very well, can be moved up and down to wherever you need them on the pin, and attach well eg don't slip off. It all washes very well too. HOWEVER no where on the box does it mention about the silicone bands, or anything about rolling out to a particular thickness. So the recipient just thought they had been given a standard rolling pin! When they opened the box there was also no information inside to explain what these six UNMARKED bands were for, or anything to suggest that this isn't just a normal rolling pin!! The bands do not say anything eg "2mm", so apparently the whole thing was a bit of a mystery when opened. It would have been very useful to have the size embossed onto the sides of the rings, so you knew which were which (2 & 3mm are very close in size obviously!), and also for when your recipe tells you a particular depth to roll too.(Others have also mentioned that the embossed sizing on the pin shows up in eg fondant icing. While it didn't show up on our pizza dough, the measurements are indeed raised so I am sure they would indeed show up on fondant). In summary, excellent functional product, but communication of the product is poor, and the rings should be marked. I notice other brands have the rings in a different colour for each pair. Very good idea - these are all dark grey!

Sturdy yet light. Easy to clean.
This is a sturdy yet light rolling pin. It's easy to clean and the silicone guides are really useful to get an even thickness. It's worth noting that the scale printed on the side - while useful - is slighty etched into the surface, so for fondant work it will leave a very slight imprint and, depending on your level of perfectionism, it's perhaps better to go for a 'plain' rolling pin if this is its only use. However, not worth docking a star in my view.

Great rolling pin!
As a somewhat novice ‘baker’ I didn’t own a rolling pin so went with this one on a whim and after reading the reviews. Have to say I really like it, I made many many mince pies over Christmas for the first time ever and the pastry was lovely. I’d recommend it for ease of use, lightweight and easy to clean. It has measurements on which are probably useful (if I knew what for) and the rubber ring ‘guides’ were handy for making sure my pastry was even.

Poor quality measuring rings, rolling pin fine
The quality of the rolling pin itself is fine but the silicone rings do not look sustainable and wonder how long they last, they have no measurements on them so the thickness is guess work. The supplier asked for feedback so I shared my concern and dissatisfaction and they said they are already looking into alternatives and suggested I buy a different rolling Pin and Long block styleMeasures from them - eh no!!!!

Good value, use for air dry clay and works well
Bought for rolling air dry clay was good value as was only looking for depth gauges but this with the rolling pin was great value. Has some measurements marked on which hadn't realised but don't use full width of roller so is fine

Easy to handle
i have always used a wooden rolling pin but I have started to make my own doggie cookies and my old rolling pin kept slipping due to the fat contnt. so I thought I would try this new rolling pin and it has bee wonderful the only reason for knockinf off a star is that the thickness measures do not do high enough

Great kitchen helper
This is a super rolling pin that makes sizing dough, both in diameter and thickness, a doddle. The three rubberised rings help get the depth right and the markings on the pin help with diameter.Easy to clean, lightweight and with clean lines this is a good buy.

Does the job
Light, easy to use and useful to have the measurements on tho' could leave imprint. Only 4 stars because there were no care instructions inside or on the box so before washing it I had to go to the item description on Amazon.
