Only good for short rides
This company used to make really good shorts for the under $25 price range, but this iteration of shorts is not a winner. They look good, and feel nice, but for rides longer than 90 minutes, they're not comfortable. These shorts have very minimal padding under the perineum, which for road cyclists, is the area that needs it the most. Your groin will he painfully aware of the stitching because the padding there is just so thin. I train 6 days a week and these are the only shorts that give me discomfort within the first hourI have 5 pairs of these in black and they all feel the same. I have 1 pair with a little red on the sides, and it's a little better, but doesn't look good

Just as good as expensive shorts
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the shorts (including the thick padding). You would not be able to tell these are ~$20 shorts for the quality, look and feel. Feel very similar to my Pearl Izumi shorts than are 4 times the price.I'm 5'8", 160lbs and bought the medium, fits just right. Fit is as expected, probably going to buy a second pair soon as they are so comfortable, very impressed with these!

Good quality shorts for casual riders
I purchased these based upon all the great reviews. I found them to be decent but not great quality. I immediately noticed the Lycra is not as thick and sturdy as my Pearl Izumi, Louis Garnneau, 15 year old Performance Bike shorts or even my cheap Santic shorts.Once I started riding, the pants bunched up around my crotch. The grippers at the bottom of the leg were minimal so the fact that they climbed up my legs was not surprising. The pad was thick, decent, but I didn't find it as comfortable as the other brands of shorts that I have - I realize that is personal preference and other riders may feel differently. The pants also were a bit shorter than my other bike shorts. If you only do occasional rides and want a decent pair of bike shorts, these will probably do the job. If you put long hours on the saddle and want a product that will last for many years, you should look elsewhere.

Don't fit me very well.
My shorts came with a hole on the inside thigh seam. The hole was about 2 inches long. It looked like the sewing machine missed the fabric. I ordered large size based on my waist size. The waist was fine but the leg openings were too big and did not cling to my thigh as they should. I've never had this kind of fit problem with all my other shorts, so I think Nooyme just isn't going to work for me.Originally I rated the shorts a "1" because of the hole. I received a refund and then the company reached out to me and wanted to provide another pair for free if I would then do another review. I received the new pair and no issue with holes or any other defects. The shorts are nice. They seem comfortable. But still they don't cling to my legs the way my other shorts do. As a result they ride up. It could just be the way I'm built, but all of my other shorts fit fine

Great Value!
I really like the look and feel of these shorts. I ordered an XL as I'm 5'11" and 220lbs. They fit great and stay in place while riding. The padding is great and I have no issues of sore "parts" after 110miles.

Good shorts - not perfect, but comfortable.
Really, they could be a 5 star - but decided after noticing the reflective small strips are peeling off after one run in the washer (air dried)... So 4 it is... I'm hoping nothing else starts to fall apart...Shorts compared to Bibs: I do like them better than my bibs - especially when it is time to hit the loo...Also, I've noticed with the bibs, sizing is tougher for me... some of us have longer torsos (me), so while over all the fit is ok, the bib's straps over the shoulders are a bit too tight... Shorts are perfect, and rise over my belly button - no mooning folks for me with these :-)Something else to consider - I bought XL - and while my first concern was my waist size, the reality is that my thighs are the snug fitting area... If you are in the same boat, I'd go with a larger size, and have someone stitch up the waist, rather than getting a size too small.

Fit well if your built like a cyclist (Thick thighs) and not a runner (Thin thighs)
Fits well and made of decent material. I have thick thighs and 40" waist. If you have thin legs these will be very loose on you. If your like me and have problems fitting into anything but loose jeans or shorts then these will likely fit you properly. If not you may find them very loose. The Padding is strange in that the padding is thick in the rear where you need it but very thin elsewhere. The material felt like it will hold up well and it was tight while not feeling too tight. The legs didn't slide up at all and the waist fit decently. Suspect that the waist band will wear out with repeated washing but certainly worth the price.

worst fit in a bike short, gel, what gel??
I've used several brands of bike shorts over the years and based on reviews had high expectations. They simply do not fit well; bought a L - I'm 6-3 185, slim athletic build and they ride way too far forward with not enough where you want it on the butt bones. even if snugged up toward the back, the pad is just not in the proper position to do it's job. As for the gel, it feels more like foam. NB: I would NOT size up as others suggested either.
