This bird seed looks very good. It is very humid in Pensacola so if my seed has plant seed in it, it becomes mushy and the birds will not eat it or if dry they kick it out. It is crazy how they do this. The nut bird chips work treat even if they get wet from rain.

Costco used to sell a great birdseed, but I don't get to Costco as often after moving to a town without one. This one is a close second, and easily available on amazon. One thing I will say is don't order this with any other items unless they are small and soft. Amazon will ship it with heavier items and sometimes it's been fine, others it's been squished and some of the seed has spilled out already on arrival. The plastic bag it comes in is pretty thin. Amazon refunded me when this happened, just something to be aware of. It's kind of expensive, but it's the best one I can find right now that the birds actually eat. Always comes fresh and the birds go nuts for it. It attracts a great variety too-->chickadees, bluejays, finches, mourning and eurasian collared doves, some birds have started showing up with this and I don't even know what they are. It's clearly good stuff!

Very impressed with how bird seed was delivered. The bird seed was in a box inside of another box, which was a great thing to do for shipping purposes. The bird seed itself is great without the shells and doesn’t sprout.The birds love it !

The price is right compared to other similar birdfood I've seen (and bought) on Amazon. And the finches and other small birds love it. But, there is little if any niger (thistle) seed in the bag I received. So with my tall, cylindrical feeder with 6 small perches, the lack of niger seed allows the other stuff (mostly small, round seed) to come out freely which spills onto the ground. At least the rock doves get fed that way. 8-)

Squirrels do not eat safflower seeds!!! Good value in this brand.

We see a lot of cardinals on the birdfeeders with safflower seeds. The squirrels, not so much. We have a tray feeder and a tube feeder with safflower seed in them and the birds fight over places to sit. I had to order another bag because of how fast they went through the first 15 pounds!

This is my 5th purchase. Product has changed. No peanuts. No fruit. Mostly millet which has a messy shell. They added sunflower seeds with shells! It is mostly millet. Lot# A2623 19:9. This is no longer waste-free. This is nonreturnable. I will receive a refund and I’ll order it again in the hopes that this last purchase was a one-time mixup by the manufacturer. If next order comes back the same I will look for a different brand of “No Hulls, No Mess” seeds. If their ingredients have permanently changed for the worst, didn’t Pennington figure that us Birders would notice this?UPDATED REVIEW: I changed this from 2 stars to 3 stars. This 5th purchase is a little better than my original review. There must have been a lot of settling as I did find some peanuts and fruit in the mix after all. However, there is way too much millet in the mix. Also, sunflower seeds in their hull were added to this mix which was in a blue bag. My prior purchases were in a green bag and there were no sunflower seeds in their hulls in that mix. This product should not be labeled “No Hulls No Mess” if seeds in their shells are in the mix.

I've been using these Pennington sunflower chips for several years now. The best thing about them is the fact that there is absolutely no mess on the ground or patio or porch and every single spec is eaten. The fact that they are broken up into small pieces is very good for the small birds and maked them go a whole lot farther. I highly recommend these seeds and this brand
